Happy Friday!
These happy little flowers are new in my garden this year, and I just had to share them with you. I love any daisy-type flower, so my garden (and my quilts, as you will see) are full of them!
I also wanted to tell you that my Seaside Cottage has finally arrived in stores! I showed you this picture of the prints a few weeks back . . .
I’ve finally gotten a quilt done with the fabrics – Thanks to Mom (again) for getting the applique done and borders on (I got the blocks done the day before I went to the hospital to have Carter, thus the need for Mom’s help!)

The new fabric is beautiful! This weekend I’m going to balance doing a few outside things when the heat permits and sewing indoors when it’s too hot. And maybe sneak in a trip to the pool 🙂

The fabric is beautiful! Visited my brand new grandson today, going to see full size Thomas the Train with my other two grandsons tomorrow then off to a friend’s cottage on Sunday. Good times.

I love how you repeated the flower pattern in your quilting and applique on this quilt. Is that a variety of blanket flower (gaillardia) in your garden?…….good choice to use on a quilt 🙂
I am needing to finish some pillowcases for my oldest son’s two daughters–already made and gave a couple to his son earlier this month for his birthday and now it is their turn…..three birthdays within just over a months time…..but at least I know they will enjoy and use this present.

Weekend plans: transplant two roses and a Bee Balm plant, grading (teaching two summer classes), and picking the hubs up from the airport.
Every time you design a new fabric line I think “this is the best one yet”. Then it gets followed up by yet another “best one yet”. So, here we go again with Seaside Cottage! Love everything about it…..and the quilt is terrific. The flower motif quilted in the blocks is perfect for the quilt. It’s heating up again in the Midwest so I plan on a little piecing and quilting time inside this weekend.
I absolutely love this collection!!! I plan to work on a quilt for my grandson’s first birthday & put a paver edging around the new perennial bed that I planted.

Heather, love your new fabric line and pattern. The appliqued daisy, replicating the one in the border print, is just adorable. This weekend I am working on a chevron quilt and trying to figure out on my own how to piece it with strips and 45 degree cuts rather than the HST or rectangle zig zag methods that seem to be so popular now. Congrats on your new baby. Don’t know how you continue to do so much with your business with a newborn but your fans appreciate it.

I like the gray and white lattice fabric that you used in your quilt. Its very pretty and has a soothing effect. This weekend I’m emptying out my kitchen cupboards because the guys are coming on Monday to begin remodeling my kitchen. I’m excited but I remember the mess you had when you were remodeling at your house. Aren’t ;you glad that all that work was done before the baby arrived!

The pattern is beautiful as well as the fabric! Tomorrow I am taking my two girls swimming as well as my niece and nephew. I wa hoping to be playing with my new long arm quilting machine but that did not happen. They had to take it back for repair. Bummer. But swimming and quality time with my girls will be fun too!

Love the baby picstures and the fabric line. I’m going to a bling party at my local quilt store. They just got in a new embellisher system from Janome. It looks really interesting. Definitely easier than placing the jewels one by one. And I’ll be binding my latest wallhanging. Plus all the usual – grocery shopping, laundry, etc.
If the stars align properly, I will be sewing. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please!

I love the border fabric too! We are making hay this weekend. We need lots of big hay bales to feed our cattle this winter. It’s hot and dry here too; so we will be praying for rain. This fabric would go a long ways to cheer me up. lol

Oh those fabrics are so lovely! Unfortunately, I haven\’t been having much fun this week. While we were out of state at my father-in-law\’s memorial service, we were notified that our beloved black lab passed away at the kennel. I am really looking forward to going home and sewing.

We just finished Vacation Bible School at our church this week, so my family and I are relaxing today. I just love your new fabric, and hopefully I’ll see it in our local store here soon. We live in Canada, so sometimes we don’t see the “new” stuff for a while, at least where I live.

My husband has been out of town lately so this weekend we are just hanging out together and piddling around the house. Just before he got home though, I finished quilting a quilt using some of your Artful Home fabrics (I’ve been hoarding, I admit) and using a pattern (Ring Toss) from your new Kids Quilt book, but made bigger for an adult. We live in southern minnesota and it has been so hot but I am lucky enough to have a sewing room in basement. So I am spending as much time as I can sewing where it is 5 degrees cooler than upstairs.

Since Seaside Cottage is now in stores, I am spending the weekend looking for it online and daydreaming about the quilts I will make with it! I am also continuing my quest to see how many times I can use my grill to make supper this summer rather than using my stove.

Had a fairly restful weekend after a very difficult week. Two daughters and 3 grandbabies left our house Saturday am, then we took my parents to an out of town family wedding in the afternoon. Sunday we went to church, lunch with a few friends, and an afternoon nap. Love your fabrics as usual!

These are beautiful fabrics – and I love the quilt, too! This weekend we travelled home from our wonderful holiday in Great Britain. When stopping in Brussels to see the Atomium, our car got broken into and some stuff was stolen. The thing I miss most is my laptop with all our family photos on it – now we don*t have any pictures left from our kids or anything except the few we printed out since I didn’t have a backup…. pretty sad. I just saw the fabric line on at The Fat Quarter Shop. How can you decide – both packs are gorgeous! This weekend includes some time in the boat since we’ve been unable to the last few weeks.
Well the weekend weather was perfect for productivity so I did a lot of cleaning and baking to be ready for when it gets too hot again to want to do anything. Boring but good. I am amazed you are getting anything done with that cute little boy around. Love your new fabric line.

Fun & fresh! A quick trip to Rochester on Sat. On Sunday, church, laundry, ironing, altering a bridsmaids dress, meals, started a quilt of valor, then at ten pm was time to sit before heading off to bed, back to the work week!
Hubs and the kids golfed with friends Sat. Then we had a BBQ. Sunday was a headache day, and recover from Saturday’s heat day! I love the new line… The colors are gorgeous!
This was a working weekend for me, so no sewing….I spent the day today playing on the computer and catching up with all of the blogs that I have missed over the last month….I hope that I am not too late to jump into the giveaway….what a beautiful fabric line….and Carter is just so adorable….
Went to a lovely wedding and danced to the wee smallson Sat. Hid from the 32 degrees outside Sunday.Wish I had air conditioning in my little quilt house, the fan can’t keep me cool while sewing but I did finish an owl baby quilt. yippee!. Carter is adorable, such a great smile. Love the grey in the new fabric line.
I also have a love for flowers, I have the same daisy flower in my yard. I really think that is why I am so drawn to your fabrics. Had a great weekend, kept the granddaughters for a sleep over Friday Night and my brother & his family were here for the evening Saturday night and recharged and relaxed on Sunday. I am anxious to see your fabric in the stores. Also, Carter is growing and changing! Nice to see him just light up when you talk to him, says a lot about Mom!

Over the weekend I taught a beginning sewing class at our LQS here in town. It was fun and the girls all went home with completed projects. Now our family is preparing to go on a week long trip to our home school confernece in Indianapolis. Beautiful quilt, beautiful fabrics! My daughter and family will be leaving for home this weekend so I will be quilting to keep myself busy. They live many, many miles away so I don’t know when I will see them again. I think I need your fabric to keep me busy!
