Friday Finish

Happy Friday!

These happy little flowers are new in my garden this year, and I just had to share them with you.  I love any daisy-type flower, so my garden (and my quilts, as you will see) are full of them!

I also wanted to tell you that my Seaside Cottage has finally arrived in stores!  I showed you this picture of the prints a few weeks back . . .

I’ve finally gotten a quilt done with the fabrics – Thanks to Mom (again) for getting the applique done and borders on (I got the blocks done the day before I went to the hospital to have Carter, thus the need for Mom’s help!)

Here’s a shot of those daisies that I mentioned earlier –

And a close up of a few more of the prints –

Today, I think my favorite print is the outer border –

As is tradition on my blog, I am giving away a fat quarter pack to one of my readers!  Just leave me a comment to be entered to win – maybe on what you are doing this weekend or something like that.

Hopefully you will find the fabric at your local shop.  If not, you can find a few kits, fat quarter packs , and some yardage on our retail website.

Have a great weekend and I will announce the winners of the fat quarter pack next week!

Our local quilt shop is getting your fabric in! Love this pattern–will it be offered soon?

    Weekend plans? None! Yay!!! 🙂

  3. Cosmos says:

The new fabric is beautiful! This weekend I’m going to balance doing a few outside things when the heat permits and sewing indoors when it’s too hot. And maybe sneak in a trip to the pool 🙂

  4. kazkitty says:

Love the pattern and the fabric!

I currently have no plans for this weekend… except to get some sewing and knitting done. 😀

  5. Diane says:

I love the fabric. And your flowers are so pretty too. Do you happen to know if they are deer resistant? I’m hoping to sew this weekend, and we’re going to see Wicked. I think we may be the only two people left on earth who haven’t seen it yet.

  6. Sandy A in St. Louis says:

Such pretty fabrics! Love the aqua and red. This weekend I will be working on blocks for a BOM I do with one of my Yahoo groups as well as putting borders on a “galloping horse” quilt. 🙂

  7. Joyce says:

Love this new collection. I’ve made several quilts from your patterns. Hope to see your line in our local quilt shop soon!

  8. Laurie in Iowa says:

Love the quilt and your flowers are lovely too. I’ll be spending the weekend indoors, stitching, as it will be too hot and humid to be outdoors for too long.

  9. Julielorene says:

The fabric is beautiful! Visited my brand new grandson today, going to see full size Thomas the Train with my other two grandsons tomorrow then off to a friend’s cottage on Sunday. Good times.

    • Sandy R says:

I like your fabrics and your quilt turned out really nice. I am currently working on a log cabin quilt and the embroidered Latte quilt.

  10. scrapperdeb says:

Tomorrow I’ll be standing in for my daughter at the local farmer’s market. She sells soap but will be away. It will be my first time trying to sell her wares, so i hope I don’t disappoint. Love the fabric!

  11. Shannon says:

I will keep my eyes open for this fabric while on my travels this summer. The quilt is very lovely, but I must admit that I had hoped to see a little baby cuteness. My weekend will be all about gardening and hopefully a ltittle knitting and quilting.

  12. StampinKris says:

Wow, I love the applique. Love all your designs. Finished up Spaghetti Junction on the 4th, and now working on Gypsy Girl for my daughter’s bed. Thanks for the chance to win your newest line.

  13. Kristen Sanderson says:

This weekend I will be playing with my son and hopefully getting in a little sewing time while he is napping. Beautiful fabric, I love the colors!

  14. So pretty. I love the applique. And the quilting is perfect for the quilt. Thanx for the chance!

  15. Michelle M. Bailey says:

Left work early today, came home and pulled weeds. Hope the rest of the weekend is better 🙂

  17. Beautiful quilt Heather. Your fabric colors are perfect.
This weekend we will attend our fourth family graduation party and spend some time on the lake. I’ll sneak in a little sewing for sure. Just finished a romper for a granddaughter’s first birthday party next weekend.

  18. Ellen Hammond says:

Love the quilt and the fabrics! I am buying a new car this weekend 🙂

  19. Noela says:

I love the fabric and the way you have designed the quilt with the applique flowers. It is winter here in Australia, the wind is blowing and so it is quite cool. Your quilt makes me think of summer. Thanks for the chance to win some of your fabrics.

  20. Terry says:

Your flowers are beautiful! And so is your fabric! Thanks for the chance to win some! This weekend I plan to sew and then pull some weeds. At least the sewing part will be fun! :0)

  23. Sandra Davidson says:

Heather I loved the pictures of Carter the other day ,he is so adorable, aren’t they cute when you can move them around like that in their sleep? Your new line is beautiful and I am with you in loving the border fabric on your quilt. I would love to win your giveaway! This weekend I am hoping to finish a baby quilt to send to my great niece. Blessings to you all

  24. stipplequilt says:

Beautiful flowers and I just love your quilt! The applique your mom did is really neat! Thanks for a great giveaway, I love your fabrics!

  25. Marji says:

I love how you repeated the flower pattern in your quilting and applique on this quilt. Is that a variety of blanket flower (gaillardia) in your garden?…….good choice to use on a quilt 🙂
I am needing to finish some pillowcases for my oldest son’s two daughters–already made and gave a couple to his son earlier this month for his birthday and now it is their turn…..three birthdays within just over a months time…..but at least I know they will enjoy and use this present.

Really love this fabric and your quilt design!

  26. Elizabeth S. says:

How fun! I love the colors in this collection!
Weekend plans: transplant two roses and a Bee Balm plant, grading (teaching two summer classes), and picking the hubs up from the airport.

  27. Bev says:

Every time you design a new fabric line I think “this is the best one yet”. Then it gets followed up by yet another “best one yet”. So, here we go again with Seaside Cottage! Love everything about it…..and the quilt is terrific. The flower motif quilted in the blocks is perfect for the quilt. It’s heating up again in the Midwest so I plan on a little piecing and quilting time inside this weekend.

  28. Linda Sandusky says:

    Carter is so darn cute!!!!!
    XO Kris

  31. Paula says:

Heather, love your new fabric line and pattern. The appliqued daisy, replicating the one in the border print, is just adorable. This weekend I am working on a chevron quilt and trying to figure out on my own how to piece it with strips and 45 degree cuts rather than the HST or rectangle zig zag methods that seem to be so popular now. Congrats on your new baby. Don’t know how you continue to do so much with your business with a newborn but your fans appreciate it.

  32. Robin Luedtke says:

I love this fabric. I have been waiting for it. I have just the pattern!

  33. KarinM says:

This weekend I’m emptying out my kitchen cupboards because the guys are coming on Monday to begin remodeling my kitchen. I’m excited but I remember the mess you had when you were remodeling at your house. Aren’t ;you glad that all that work was done before the baby arrived!

I always enjoy your fabrics and your patterns, your colors and sense of style is very appealing to me. It has been very warm here in Northern MN, but tomorrow I’m spending the day working in a new quilt shop with super air conditioning! I could spend the day at home sewing in air conditioned comfort, but working in the shop is a fun way to spend my day off, too. Thanks for being so generous with your giveaways!
Love seeing photos of Carter, it is so easy to forget how quickly babies change.
