Remember several months ago, when during a crazed, impulsive moment, I decided to redecorate my bedroom? I liked my bedroom, but I had been struggling with how dark it was in there (it’s a north facing room, with a deck above the window) and I really wanted to incorporate some of the beautiful large-scale quilting prints into my decorating.
I started tearing things apart, full of gusto and inspiration. I quickly made my bed quilt, shams, and repainted the room. I started putting everthing back together and tried unsuccessfully to decorate the room. I didn’t like it and just thought – “what have I done. I’m not sure if I can pull this off.” I started looking for curtains, accessories and furniture. I looked and looked and had no luck. None of the furniture stores in town had antique white nightstands, with a little character and not too much scrolly detail. Nobody had curtains in the the right color – not too white, not too cream. Have I mentioned that I am particular about color? Or have high expectations? I have earned my title of Color Drama Queen (given by my husband Joel). On top of that, I couldn’t find any hot pink accessories or brightly colored flowers. Everything in the stores was all Christmasy!!! After weeks of looking, I finally ordered some night stands and a dresser from Pottery Barn. Mom took pity on my and made me some curtains (antique white for the front fabric, lined in white to be just the right color when the light showed through and trimmed in hot pink – Thanks Mom!).
In the meantime, while I waited the long 6 weeks for my furniture to come, I mostly glared at and hated my room. I had completely lost my vision. What was I to do? I even blogged about the whole thing and was getting e-mails about how I hadn’t shown the new look. (I’m not complaining – I’m glad you wanted to see it!)
Finally my furniture arrived, and my vision started to take shape again. Thank goodness – I’m saved! I have almost everything finished and put back together and I’m in love. Pottery Barn is wrong, I don’t need organic sheets to sleep well. I just need a room full of Heather Bailey Freshcut fabrics! Even Joel likes it – which is a big stretch considering his favorite color is camo.
Here are a few shots of my new room, though I have to say that the camera just doesn’t quite capture the colors as I see them.
My bed quilt is from the book Livin’ Large. It’s so different from the original and I’m always amazed by how colors and fabrics can change a pattern.
This runner is also in the book Livin’ Large. It’s made using the scraps from the bed quilt.
My shams are an adaptation of the technique used in this runner –
Here’s another angle – The room really came more alive when I added the black accessories. I’ve talked about using black a lot, especially in my older quilts. I just didn’t realize it was going to work with these colors. I think it goes with the eclectic, not too matchy feel of the room.
I used some of my scrap fabric to fill these frames. The fabric scraps seemed to add so much more color than using photos.
Here’s a few shots around the room – though I can’t show everything.
This one might become a new pattern, so you can only see part. I loved this fabric and had to have a quilt featuring it! As you can see, I haven’t finished my chair cushions yet.
I’m going to hang the quilt with a curtain rod and clips ( my fav)
I also have a few shots of the bathroom, but I’m still working on this too.
I’m considering making these fabrics into a rug, as I have had no luck finding anything in these colors. (Please e-mail me if you know of any possibilities! Please also note that I have been too busy finishing my room to have time to clean my mirror.)
I didn’t have to change the walls in this room. They were already the right green and I painted a design on them to match a fabric line I did several years ago.
That’s all the further I am on my redecorating. I forgot how long it takes to do things like this!!!
To celebrate the almost-completion of the room, I’m going to give away a copy of the book featuring the quilts in my room – Just leave me a comment to enter into the drawing. It’s been a few weeks since I did a giveaway, and I think it was this same book, so if you didn’t win before, you still have a chance!
Absolutely gorgeous! I asked for Livin’ Large for Christmas but Santa didn’t come through. :o( I’m in the midst of a bedroom crisis…I have the fabric and the design…now to get sewing! Perhaps this is the inspiration I need.
Wow, wow, wow. Beautiful and some of the unexpected things you’ve done are so inspiring. I can’t believe you painted those scrolls on your wall. Simply gorgeous.
Totally awesome, Heather! I would never have thought of using yellow for bedroom walls, but it so works with your quilt etc. I would definitely like to win that book.
Heather, your bedroom is fabulous. I know how much work is involved and thus I haven’t started on my bedroom! Great job for finishing, it looks really great.
Beautiful! You have inspired me… We purchased new furniture and redecorated last year, but I have been unable to pull it all together, somehow it’s just bland. I see a new color theme in my future. Thanks for the inspiration!
I think the room is great! It just makes me smile. 🙂 I love yellow and Heather Bailey. It is so tough to shop forever and not find the right colors. I’ll bet in the next month you will find rugs with all the spring/summer stuff. I usually love the bright color basics at Crate and Barrel. Santa didn’t bring me my Livin Large book either, funny! Thanks for the give-away and the inspiration!
Very cheerful room! And that bed…don’t get me started…the bed frame with the quilt on it – perfection!
Love it! Would you like to come and do our bedroom. After 27 years it really needs some help!
love the pictures – great fabrics and colors!
Your room looks like House Beautiful…I absolutely love it! Thanks so much for sharing…pleasant dreams!
Oh man, I love your room! I need to print those pictures out and tape them up in my bedroom for inspiration! Great job!
My DIL needs that runner pattern. I’ll have to win it or go buy it.
A very beautiful and cheery room.
Thanks for sharing.
Andi 🙂
Stunning! Your newest book is wonderful too. I always end up with a high “must-make” ratio on your books. Thanks for all of the inspiration you give.
Love your bedroom re-do! It’s so bright and cheerful 🙂
teresa
Your room redo is fantastic! I would love to win your book and make some of these projects. If I don’t I will just have to buy it. Thank you for all the inspiration.
The room looks Great! I love the quilt and runner. Please add me to your drawing.
I really, really, really, really, really, really want your book! I sure hope I win … but if I don’t, I’ll probably be buying it anyway! : )
Thanks for sharing pictures of your sanctuary — it’s beautiful and it looks like your vision has really come together.
I love your reno bedroom. You have inspired me to do something with mine. Thank you very much. I think its a bit Im not sure but Im going to change it and see how I go.
It all turned out beautifully-you did a wonderful job!
Oh my goodness! Your room is wonderful! I seriously just wanna come visit and stay in that room! It’s so cheerful!
I love that you framed the fabric. I might have to use that idea.
I also love the design you did in the bathroom wall! So simple yet it adds like a gazillion happy thoughts to the bathroom!
You wanna come do myhouse when you are done??
Love the room! Now I’m thinking I should be working on mine – but right now we’re doing the kitchen. Maybe next year! Great inspiration and beautiful color combinations!
Love it, love it! I am working on a quilt with some wild bali prints…I admit I’m a little nervous about it. You give me hope! 🙂
Beautiful. You choices are fabulous. Large scale prints always scare me. But they are done masterfully in your quilt.
Love. Love. Love. It. So cheery! Now I’m off to re-do my bedroom.
It is wonderful! It makes me want to move in and take up residence. I’m adding it to my inspiration file!
What a beautiful bedroom!!! I love the bright colors, it’s very warm and inviting. Want to come do our bedroom??!?
I love the finished bed quilt! You’ve inspired me to make a quilt for my bed. I have been searching for years for the right bedding and it just is not out there. Time for me to pick a favorite fabric line (I wish Shangri La was still available!) and get to work. Just gorgeous Heather….thanks for sharing!
Love the redo. Love the yellow walls. And if I don’t win the book I will definitly buy it, I have just the right fabrics for this pattern. Thanks for sharing.
love your space! super cheery 🙂
Wow! This is totally beautiful. I would love to win. Thanks for the giveaway.
Everything is absolutely gorgeous…your room looks like a tropical paradise!!! The yellow paint is such a perfect shade!
It is beautiful! It makes me realize that I need to redo my room. I just love it. Did you already tell what color the paint on the walls is? A good yellow is such a hard color to find.
What a bright space – I love it! Count me in on your drawing. I would love to have a new book to bury myself in!
Beautiful….absolutely beautiful. What a sunny, spring-y retreat in the midst of your winter weather. Love those fabrics. I wish I had your “eye”. And a large enough bedroom to really be able to decorate!
I love your quilt. It’s beautiful!
Great job on the redo. It looks very nice!
Love your new room. I love your patterns and I’d love to own your book. Thanks for another chance to win it.
Your new room looks great! I can totally relate to the “what have I done” moment, I had one of those myself recently. Would love to win your book.
Sweet Dreams
Love your redecoration; now Ive got room envy!
It is definitely different from the before picture we saw several months ago. It is so bright and cheery. I love it.
I love the room Heather! I am one who doesn’t like things all matchy-matchy either! Makes it far more interesting! How did you do the rug in the bathroom? Very happy room!
AMAZING!! What a bright room! I am glad you didn’t give up! Where do you get the clips to hang the quilt? Am I behind the times? I am ready to hang my round-about quilt and that is a really neat idea!
I love your room, can you please come to my house and help me finish mine???
Yup, I was just thinking, “I am going to have to get this new book!” It would be nice to win it, too. Your new room looks great!
Wow!! I love love love this room. You did a sensational job! It’s so sunny and happy!
I love the fresh look. It is so bright, cheery, and just makes a person want to stay in there! How wonderful and all of your little touches are just perfect. Cool pillow cases, btw. Very special.
Can I move in with you? What a lovely room, so bright an cheery! I could never pull that off. You have so much talent.
I would love the book, I could try to make a quilt as nice as yours or just dream.
My master bedroom is freshly painted and floored – but it lacks something – that pulled-together look! Your bedroom is beautiful, really inspiring.
Just beautiful!! I have just started thinking about redoing my room …thank you for the many ideas …now I have lots to dream about!!
it looks so great!
So cheerful….love it. Sweet dreams and thanks for the chance to win your book!!! XXX Annelies
OH.!! WOW You have done a Fabulous Job even down to your Bathroom which looks Gorgeous too..Love the freshcut fabrics in your Quilt..these pics have taken my breath away I just Love it..Thanks for sharing your Experience..
cheers
I love the pictures from your room! It is beautiful! I have been wanting to redo my bedroom using a similar shade of yellow – it’s time for bright and happy 🙂 I would love to use your new Rebel Roses line and now am in search of where to find it! Thanks for sharing your decorating ideas!
Your bedroom is beautiful. It does look very eclectic. I like the window over the bed and I love the new curtains on the other window. For your rug, I have seen rugs made to look like chenille. It takes 5 or 6 layers of fabric and the look you get is a blurred version of the original print. My friend also has a rug that she painted on to a heavy canvas but it is very slippery, no rug backer, and it’s cold on the feet. I think with the big print fabrics, you could make on of those chenille type rugs. It sure would feel nice and cosy on the toes in the mornings in your neck of the woods. Good luck!
I love the room! It looks fabulous. And, I hope I win. I really want that book! It’s hard to find here in MD and if one more charge shows up from the Fat Quarter Shop, my husband just might throw away my debit card.
I love your bedroom…I’d sleep there. I am glad you furniture came and you could finish up. I love the little wall art by the privy. Thanks for sharing.
You are so talented. Your room is fabulous!
I LOVE your colors! The yellow walls are so pretty. We are finally doing some remodeling and I’m having a hard time knowing what colors to work with. ( I didn’t used to have this problem! lol ) I just need to start looking and run with something! I’m inspired. Thanks for sharing. ~ Wendy
It’s absolutely gorgeous! I love the colours you’ve used – yellow on the walls is so cheery. I agree that the black accents stand out nicely; every room should have a touch of black somewhere. Beautiful job!
Great job! I have the same color walls in my bedroom, I love yellow!
Your room is beautiful – you have a knack for it and should never have been discouraged.
I have been looking at the book with your quilt pattern for month – it has such wonderful patterns.
Just beautiful! I wish I was half as talented.
I love your re-decorated room. I was just trying to decide what I liked the best. I love the table runner on the dresser, the shams, the fabric in the frames is such a great idea. And one of my favorite things is the padded quilt picture in the bathroom with the flowers. I would love it so much if I were to win this book, it would be awesome.
wow, your room is gorgeous!!! i LOVE it!!!
Your room looks terrific!
I really like the fabric in the wall quilt you are teasing us with!
Rug ideas, I’m not sure what it is called, but it is something like Miss Philly’s Toothbrush rug…kinda’ braided rug looking using fabric strips, or you might try a locker hook rug , or a knitted one using fabrid strips… it seems like there is one in the first Mason Dixon knitting book.
I love your bedroom. The quilt is just gorgeous. I really need to make my room over (the furniture is so old it is falling apart). Unfortunately no Pottery Barn over here. I love you bathroom too. And what a good idea with the fabric in the photo frames. I might have to get motivated.
You’d never know now that the room doesn’t get very much light, would you?
Really, really fun.
I love your color combinations! Neat idea with the fabric in picture frames. Thanks for the photos.
WOW! Your bedroom looks fantastic. I love the quilt on your bed and the tablerunner. I would love to win the book they are in.
Christine
That was an awesome post. It sure was something to sink my teeth into…lots of reading and lots of pics – that’s the best! I am especially fond of your fabric choices…I really like how brightly warm they are. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself in this and other posts. I really appreciate how much of yourself and your time you put into them.
Love the yellow walls. My living room is yellow and it is so versatile. I think you will have lots of fun. The quilt, shams, and furniture are great fun!
I love your bedroom… it is so great!! Very creative, I love the fabrics you used and the patterns….. it is truely beautiful!!
Everything is so lovely!! I love the yellow. thankd for the chance to win.
Amazing! I used to be a matchy, matchy kinda girl. I have start to make some changes in that department. I love the non-matchy, matchy look. The room is beautiful. ARe you just going to make a quilt for that rug? Do you use a special batting or backing? I love the fabric, I might have to look for some. Thanks for sharing your personal space. It is absolutely beautiful!
Your room is beautiful! It’s great to see quilts used in such a contemporary way. Thanks for the inspiration!
One of these days I’m going to win one of your give aways, I just know it. LOL. I think this should be the one. Don’t you. ooxx`jodi
Love your new room! Looks so cheery.
I love the idea of framing a few pieces of fabric to add more color/texture.
The quilt on the bed is beautiful. The table runner would be perfect for my dresser too…
congrats on a wonderful make over.
Kathie
Wow!! I would love to live in a room/house that looks like that. What a wonderful job you have done. A chance to share a bit of it all is great. Thank you!
Your room looks FABULOUS!!! Really gorgeous – and any other adjective you can think of lol!!! Gives me a boatload of inspiration for my own room. Thanks for sharing, and congrats on the great new space!
Love your quilt and shams!
ooh, oooh, put me in the drawing! your blog has actually inspired me to buy a jelly rolls book, since I couldn’t find any charm packs where I was living! Thanks!!
I love the colors especially living in mn with our winters, makes for cheery days, great look
your room(s) are GORGEOUS!!!!! If you were to look around my home you would know that I must be terrified of color because things are bland and generally boring. But perhaps I can be inspired to be brave and borrow some of your ideas to add color to my bedroom. thank you for your blog and inspiration.
Those bright colors should be cheerful on cold winter days. Nice job!
Great room – came out wonderfully dynamic! As an avid DIY girl, I can appreciate the ‘oh, crap! what have I done?’ moments! But in the end it always works out how you want. Good job taking the bull by the horns and finishing it up, rather than leaving it and being annoyed with yourself! 🙂
Love your colors and quilt that you made. The yellow is fabulous and love the black accents. Just the right amount! Love the daisy print! Please enter me into your giveaway! Very inspiring:)
Laura T
Well there’s hope for our camo loving guys! Maybe an endorsement from Joel will help bring my husband around too?(LOL) Love the new bedroom makeover. We live in Alaska and right now our daylight hours are really short. Your colors and patterns infused my day with rays of sunshine and inspiration! Thankyou!
I love yellow walls and have tried it a couple times but my husband has put his foot down….no more yellow walls!! I love the fabric samples framed. I would have never thought of that.
Your room is beautiful! And I love that ‘rug’ in your bathroom. You may have to have something custom made.
Your room has such a happy feeling – wonderful 🙂
I love your work. I just found your blog a couple of weeks ago and cannot decide which of your many books I must have. Love your bedroom. I think I need that same quilt in my bedroom.
Sandy
Heather, your patiece paid off. Your bedroom is beautiful and I like the touch of black you used. I would have never thought of including it. Please include me in your giveaway.
Sweet dreams.
Sandy in Nebraska
Your room is stunning and looks like something I would see in a magazine! I really loved seeing the fresh look and color!
Heather,
Your remodeling is awesome! I’d love to have the room at my house. You have great pattrns.
Sharon
I love the colors of the bedroom. Great Job!
What a difference from your old look! Both are gorgeous!
I love the colors you use! I recently bought a few of your patterns and I’m excited to put them to use.
I live in Rochester, NY (the second cloudiest city in the US) – and need all that beautiful color that you have in your new room! What a wonderful feeling you must get every time you walk in there. I would love to create that type of feeling in my college daughter’s room. There are two twin beds in her room, so that she can bring friends home from college to visit. The quilt pattern looks like it would be easy to adapt to the size of a twin.
I enjoy your blog – Kathy
Love…love…love how the colors pop. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow, oh wow!! I love it! So bright and cheerful. Definitely nice work, all around. Loved this post!
Wonderful redo of your bedroom. You’ve inspired me to do mine. Thanks for sharing and providing some great inspiration.
You did a great job. It is pretty without being “frilly.” You have more courage than I do but you’ve encouraged me to reach out. Thanks for sharing.
I love the bedroom and bathroom! You have chosen beautiful furniture and accessories to complement your lovely quilts. Congrats!
I love your new bedroom! I just might “borrow” some of your ideas for my bedroom which is the last room left in my home to be “done”. I love the punch of black!
Your bedroom is beautiful! I wish I had your eye for decorating, my eye seems somewhat “blind” when it comes to decorating. Since I love your books please enter me into your drawing, maybe I’ll be lucky and win. Thanks
What a great makeover! I just love all of the bright happy colors – makes me think that spring and summer may come back after all 🙂 And can’t wait to see the new quilt design. Thanks for sharing.
I love the springy colors you used. Just what is needed in the drab, cold winter!! I am currently working on one of your patterns, 4-patch fusion. I love it! Thanks for a great web site.
Wow! You are really talented. I love your bedroom redo. Love the bright colors. I can’t believe you painted that design on the bathroom walls. You’re inspiring me and I am so itching to do somethings to my house. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love the color of the walls – looks great with the quilt.
Kris
I love your bedroom makeover, all of the colors and patterns are so bright and fresh!
Wow – the room looks great and not dark at all. I also have a north facing bedroom and may have to start working on it! Would love to win a copy of your book!
I love the bright colors! So often bedrooms are too sedate. I love how you kick it up.
I think Pottery Barn will be contacting you for custom quilts. That is one of the prettiest bedding collections I have ever seen. You did a great job of making the whole room beautiful. Thanks for sharing the finished look with us. Betty
I love it, love it, love it. One of these days I should redo my room 🙂
I love how fresh your rooms look. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love all the bright colors and large patterns that are out right now but I too am scared to use them in my house because I’m not sure how to handle them since I tend to lean more towards darker, more traditional colors. But you’re room looks awesome so maybe there’s hope for me yet….I think I’ll start with a smaller project and go from there!
I love the quilt on the bed. The scale of the fabrics looks just perfect. I am always amazed at seeing the before and after stuff with decorating. Unfortunately, I can’t ever make up my mind what to do and stay with the same old thing!
Hi Heather
You did a great job on your bedroom re-do. I think sometimes we get bogged down in the details and forget the big picture, but you at least were able to regain your focus and finish – yeah for you!! I would love a copy of your book – there are several quilts in there I’ve been dreaming about. Thanks for being so generous.
Heather!
You did an amazing job on your bedroom redo! I’m so glad that you didn’t give up. It is beautiful. I would love a copy of your book, my bedroom is in need of a mini redo too!
Thanks!
What a bright, happy bedroom! I especially like all the extra touches you added to tied everything together. It’s giving me some ideas on what I can do to my own house to “bring it all together.”
I also really like the flower wall art you have in your bathroom. Did I miss a mention of that in a previous blog entry? It’s adorable.
You really have quite an eye for color and scale! As I am considering a bedroom re-do (no new furniture sorry to report) I appreciate your photos and ideas.
Judy W
I was hoping you would show us pictures of your newly decorated bedroom. It just looks wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing & giving us all ideas.
Heather,
I really enjoyed perusing your progress. I liked the way the shams play off of the cornerstones to pull them together. I do like the black accents, it grounds it somehow. The continuity of color to the bathroom is great. I would love to win the book. Your site is a good marketing tool for both the consumer and to yourself. Since I’m visual, it makes your books come alive.
Thanks, Tish
Love your room! You have done a beautiful job.
I’d say the re-do was a total success! I must start making shams to go with my bed quilts, that is such a great custom addition.
I love the look. It’s bright and refreshing just like you! I envy people who can think outside the box. I’m stuck with purple and pansies and have so much invested I don’t want to change.
What a great room and bathroom. What an inspiration! Wondering where you got your bedside lamps.
Would love to win the book.
Can I move in? My room has been in need of an update for quite some time. I’m inspired to start!
This is absolutely gorgeous!!! I must admit, the old looked so wonderful to me, I thought you must me nuts for changing it! This is really fresh, inovative, and bright – I would adore walking in this room and the bath…..and feel energized!! One word for it – fantastic!!!! Thanks for sharing it with us!!
I love the new look! I just orders the Heather Bailey/Freshcut on line last week. It is so fun and cheery.
I just cut my stripe binding using your method, it was so easy I loved it. I had been putting off putting the binding on because of the bias but your method as so easy. thanks!
Your bedroom is really lovely!! Very warm and inviting!! Enjoy!!
Love the room and the colors. I love how the black accessories make the colors pop.
Beautiful, cheery, and inspirational! I’m ready for a change too. A rug from the fabrics would be wonderful. Thanks for sharing your makeover.
Love the room, especially the framed fabric!
Wonderful combination of colors – so cheery, but elegant! Love it.
WOW… would love to have a bedroom like yours maybe if I win the book….
Sylvia F 🙂
Very nice room!~ I love having windows over my bed! 🙂 They make the quilts glitter. 🙂
Wow! Love the quilt on the bed…and I’d love the book!
Love the bedroom, love the new book. I saw it at Road to California this weekend, but they didn’t have any left, so I took down the info and went to my local shop to see if they could order it, so win or not, I’ll have a copy in the next few weeks. I loved the sample with Amy Butler fabrics and the brown “background” blocks — whee they were floating on top. Have picked out fabric, ready and waiting on a book now….
Just found your blog while looking for your patterns!!! Wow your bedroom is WONDERFUL. And I love that picture hanging in your bathroom. So many, many, many wonderful ideas!!
Absolutely love your room! The black works really well–I wouldn’t have thought of that. I also love your newest book. It’s been on my wish list!!
Your bedroom is beautiful!! I would love to win a copy of your book.
Your rooms are looking fabulous.
Your bedroom is such a warm looking environment, not that we need that in Australia today as we are sweltering in a week over 40+. Your design features so well the large print fabrics and is inspiring.
Wow that is fantastic! I love decorating – but we are a military family and move all the time, so I get burnt out on decorating, then taking it all down/apart and packing, unpacking and starting over. LOL
Your quilt is so cheerful. I love your yelllow bedroom and the quilt really makes the room. My living room is similar to that yellow and your quilt inspires me to make one for my living room. Keep on making beautiful quilts to inspire us to do more.
I love the weaving pattern on the runner and shams. Your room looks beautiful!
I love your pillow shams – is the pattern for them in your Living Large book? I would love to make something like that for my mom.
You should definitely consider doing a book on home decor ala Amy Butler. In those pictures I saw some awesome stuff – a shower curtain, a bathroom rug, a covered wall canvas, some floating picture frames with fabric……I would buy a book on quilting decore like that in a heartbeat!!
I love the fabric in frames! I have begun redorating my 10 year old daughter’s bedroom and that was inspiring. Of coure- I love the rest too, but that’s more in keeping within my budget! LOL
Wow. I love your room makeover. Everything came together beautifully. I hope I win the book because I like the table runner too.
Hi Heather! I just met you at “Winterfest” in Utah! What a great week. I loved your trunk show and lecture. I am the one who make your quilt in a different color way…remember? I love your books and patterns, but I would love to win “Livin large”! You room looks beautiful!
I just discovered your blog and love it. And I love the bedroom-makes me want to re-decorate my own. I especially love that jolt of pink in there. Not sure my husband would like that but I may give it a try. I’ll be a regular visitor from now on.
Heather, it’s great! I’m lightening up my bedroom, too. I wish I could get things done as quickly as you, though! I LOVE the bed quilt. Maybe that will be my next project! Keep up the creative work!
Your redo is beautiful! The new fabric line and the quilts shown are very fresh and cheerful….great job!
I love the quilt and runner, but more then that I love all the little things you added. The fabric in the frames, the rug in the bathroom (I think you should stick with that, it looks good). I especially loved the tip on hanging the quilt. What a good idea to use those clips.
This is the first time I’ve read your blog and I sure needed to see your cheery redecorating project! Improved my mood greatly!
Have you given away the book yet? If not, please enter me in the giveaway.
Hi Heather, I must have missed who won the book for your drawing. I love your new fabric.
I love your site and am so inspired. A rookie quilter looking to get started.
I love the way your quilt is hung! How did you mount the rod on the wall? Very inspirational all around!

After viewing your blog, I am inspired to take greater risks with color and patterns when creating decorative fabric impressions/ The patterns, colors and details are very refreshing in your Living Big book. I’d like to apply the concepts with my own fabrics and colors!
Where did you get those clips to hang the quilt on the curtain rod?? What are they called? I NEED SOME!
