It happens to be the hottest day in Minnesota in the past 25 years and that is the day that my new Christmas fabric arrives. Go figure!
In my haste to rip the plastic off the bolts and take a picture, I didn’t take time to fluff my hair and put on some lipstick. It would have just melted off anyways!
I haven’t had a chance to sew up much with this line yet, – considering that we just finished up with all the quilt market craziness and the fact that the timing on my fabric lines this year got a little out of hand. They are all coming out way too close together and I can’t seem to keep up with getting all the quilts made to go with them.
I have finished this tree skirt (found in my book Living Large 2). Kits can be found here.
There is also a free pattern that shows how I envision the line working together.
You can download the pattern at Henry Glass’s website here. (Kit here)
Hopefully I will get a few more projects finished with the fabric soon. In the meantime, I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up that the fabric is arriving in stores. You will have to get it while you can, as a mix-up at the plant resulted in a smaller printing than was ordered. Bummer.
I’m currently working on cutting up some fat quarter packs, including one to share with my readers. Just leave a comment to be entered to win. I will announce the winner in my next post. (Along with the winner of the clutch pattern. I forgot to announce that winner in my last post, but I will get it taken care of!)
PS – You can read a little more about this line at the Jolly Jabber!
These fabrics are gorgeous! It won’t be long till we are all up to our eyeballs in Christmas projects and these are inspiring me to get my list started!!

it is not unusual for a very hot day for Christmas here in Australia. Just once, I would love to experience a white christmas 😉
I love the photo of you with your stack of fabric Heather – beautiful!
It’s really warm here too! Definitely not the kind of weather that makes me think Christmas! Maybe some Christmas fabric would help.
Beautiful!! You have outdone yourself once again! I just got your newest book, Living Large 2 and am getting ready to make the “Simple Gifts” quilt for my BFF as a surprise!
Another great line of fabric! But it is hard to think about Christmas fabric when we are having record heat! I enjoy following your blog. Thanks for sharing and I will look for this new line at my local quilt shop.
Awesome line and some of them could be used other than Christmas time. A great picture of you even without the lipstick. Love the patterns as well.

What a beautiful line. Can’t wait to see it in the shops!

Beautiful fabric. I love the mixture of traditional and nontraditional Christmas colors.
Hi there…I am enjoying all the inspiration and now Living Large 2 is
on my ‘ must have list’ but have not been able to find it locally.
I hope I’ll be able to order through you. I had the pleasure of attending
your trunk show in Alberta a few years ago and several of your projects are
displayed in my home (most recently Modern Day Diamonds). I’m
very happy to hear it’s finally warming up in your neck of the woods as
this is where my summer vacations are spent.
Cherrio,
sl
Christmasy, but not excessive. Like the green and yellow colourways.
Love your new fabrics! Can’t wait to see them and get inspired! Your new patterns are wonderful 🙂
Well, I’m definitely printing off the free Henry Glass pattern so I’m ready when I win the fat quarters…ha! I’m loving the dots, strips and florals in this line as well as all your fabrics….they’re really just delicious. And imagine it’s even better in real life…

Pretty, pretty fabric. I love the greens and blues. Happy quilting!
Your Christmas line is great, like the black pieces mixed in there!! Really like the tree skirt! Maybe it will help cool us off thinking about Christmas!
Love all the colors! I just ordered my Living Large 2 book and am patiently (sort of!) awaiting it’s arrival!
LOVE the new “Deck the Halls” line! Not the historical “brights” of Christmas, but nice muted tones that really go well together! I especially love those green shades!! Beautiful!!
I love that you used the black in the mix of Christmas fabrics – it really makes the colors pop! Can’t wait to get my hands on some of these prints, my favorite is the blue holly.
Christmas in June, not too bad:)
I love how you used the black print to highlight your design. It’s so pretty. The fabric is beautiful. I think your hair looks great as is – happiness is the best makeup.
Oh Joanna, I love that – ” Happiness is the best makeup.” I’m definitely going to say that often and try to pass it on as well.

I LOVE the fabric. Makes me ready to sew. In Texas it is time to park the car in the garage and stay in the quilt room til October.
I’m in Michigan and it’s hot here too! What happened to spring? Oh, that’s right we didn’t have one. Love the line, it’s gorgeous.

Love your new fabric line – it’s hot here too!
Gorgeous fabrics…wondering how hot it was there…here in southern Nevada we’re having one of the coolest Junes on record–still hasn’t officially hit 100 yet, so we’re all lovin’ life!
Looks great! I can imagine a great table runner and wall hanging for Christmas time.
Oh I can see where some of my money will be going. Those fabrics are all just gorgeous. And sadly, I’ve been already starting to stress that I need to get started on holiday gifts so I’m not rushing around on Christmas Eve as I normally am.
“Deck the Halls” looks wonderful. Every fabric line you design is stunning. Going to bed tonight dreaming of what I could do with a fat quarter pack…
Love the new collections – the colors are lovely! Were had a high of 97 here in Ohio today and the humidity is awful . . . hope it breaks soon!
WONDERFUL!! Thank you for the give away. The colors are great. My favorite ones are the black with white dots, the pointsettas on black and the prety shade of green!!

You’ve done it again!! Love the colors, especially the lighter green and thank you for including black again-it always makes the other colors POP!
Heather, I just feel in love with your Christmas fabric last year and redid my mom’s whole bedroom with that line. This line is just as wonderful as last year. I love your tree skirt out of your new line. I may just have to go shopping and get some before it’s all gone. I love all the comments from all your friends here. I think you have another sell out of fabric that you designed again. Hope the summer is going good for you. I had the first mosquito in the house tonight. Don’t like those pesty things!
It’s a beautiful line, Heather! I’d love to make a Christmas quilt this year. I’ve only made one and that was at least 8 years ago.
Heather you look beautiful and so do your fabrics! 🙂 I love the downloadable pattern, thanks! Happy sewing. 🙂 BTW what was your temp there today? We are having 90’s with some humidity but here in Virginia thats really normal, it gets worse when the humidity kicks in, very muggy.
103 degrees with a strong wind and humidity – it almost feels like standing in a giant hair dryer!
Gorgeous as always! I love your use of black with all those beautiful colors….stunning. I’m in northern Wisconsin and it is 53 degrees here at 10:30 pm. It was a perfect day with a cool breeze and my friends in the Twin Cities are melting! Makes it hard to think Christmas.
Love the fabrics & the colors!
I love the new fabric! Just lovely!
I really love the colors. I already have the project sheet printed out.
How lovely to see Christmas fabrics today……yes–it was that hot in Minnesota yesterday—–amazingly hot—-Thanks for the chance to win….

Judy
Love, love, love your new line! Can’t wait to see it in person! The colors are wonderful!
I have the new book on order from my quilt shop! Both my girls are at camp this week so I am making up the free pattern from Rebel Roses this week. We are sitting around 100 in West Texas but without the humidity, it’s not as bad.
Love the new fabric line. We have moved to a new house so I need to rethink how I decorate. This fabric would be perfect.

I love that your Christmas collections aren’t all traditional Christmas colors and designs.
Thanks for noticing Shelly! I forgot to mention that in my post. I usually try to include only 5 or so prints that are specifically Christmas.
Love getting the heads up on what is coming to the shops! Wonder if I will find it in a few shops heading north through Minn. as my husband uses my itinerary on OUR way to Canada.
I think the shop in Perham is carrying it. That’s sort of north . . . . North of where I live in MN anyways!
Beautiful! Love the fabrics!
Love these new fabrics! I just bought your new book and love it too!
Love the line and I know I’ve said it before, but that black is really awesome! Thanks so much for the givewaway!
I love the cute trees on the red and blue fabrics, and it’s nice that the patterns don’t scream Christmas so you can leave things out in January too.
Love it — can’t wait to put something together with it.
I’m loving that tree skirt!
What beautiful fabrics! I certainly hope the quilt shop here gets it in.
I would love to win fat quarters of this, who wouldn’t.

This is a beautiful fabric line. Would love to have some. Thank you.
Lovely fabric line. I love the toned-down green, and the aqua. 🙂 Perfect.
These Christmas fabrics are beautiful!! And I also love the fact that they aren’t the traditional red/green Christmas prints. Excellent work! It can make us in MN think of the colder winter temps when it is 100 degrees outside!
Beautiful fabrics. I love all of them!
(I’m sorry, my computer is acting up and sent my comment while I was still typing! Here it is with my info attached!)
I would LOVE the opportunity to create with this fabric line. It is gorgeous!

I just love your Christmas lines..ok, all of your lines. 103 on Tues and 60 today, go figure. We’ve gotta love Minnesota, right? Thanks so much for the chance to win.
I love the idea of having pretty fabric slipcovers and my boring chairs could definitely use a HMP fabric makeover. I know you can’t put a pattern for slipcovers in your next book because everyone’s chairs are different but a tutorial on your blog would be awesome. I’m a huge fan and have most of your books (including Living Large 2 which I had to get as soon as it came out) and your previous fabric lines so of course how can this one be any different. I’d love to win some of your new line and I’m crossing my fingers!
Beautiful fabric, and I’ll definitely be downloading the free pattern. Cute!
I was visiting Minnesota during the heat wave………..it felt great to return to Colorado last night! It was my first visit to Minnesota and I would love to return. Love your new fabric and would love to win the fat quarters!
