I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. We have so many things to be grateful for! My sister did a really fun a fun craft with her little kids this year that I thought was just perfect for the Thanksgiving holiday. I love that baby Carter made the tree for both of her kids. If I made a tree, it would have lots of baby Carter leaves on it, along with a few of the other really important things they are thankful for too – like cookies and coffee creamer.
Isn’t that just too cute? I might be a little old to make one for myself, but it is good to make a “mental” thankful tree.
Before I get talking too much about Carter, I need to announce the winners of the apron kits from the blog hop last week. The four randomly selected winners are:

Now, on to those 5 month pictures of Carter. It feels like a lot has happened with him this month.
He has grown into 9 month size clothes now, even a few 12 month size.
He had his first Halloween
He has gotten much better at tummy time – thanks to his favorite app. I think it’s called Baby Touch and Hear and it’s the best 99 cents that I have ever spent! It has lots of pictures of animals with their sounds, which keeps him entertained for quite a while.
He is sitting up now – with supervision, of course.
He still tumbles over, then looks surprised and gives a big grin.
He is enjoying the jumper now – which we love too. It helps keep him happy while I make supper, etc, etc.
He tried cereal for the first time and did really well with it. He also likes applesauce and sweet potatoes. Now you can’t have a spoon around him without him opening his mouth and making a move for your spoon.
He has discovered his toes.
Now, when he starts to get crabby near bedtime, I just take his clothes off and he’s happy for another half hour or hour (otherwise he seems to want to go to bed so early that he wakes up at 4:30 in the morning. Mom and Dad aren’t big fans of getting up that early!)
He also has his first cold. No pictures for that, so I will just show a few other favorites.
Until next month . . . . .
I promise that is the cutest baby EVER! Thanks for sharing him! He is obviously destined for great things…just look at that face!

Totally adorable!! Please keep the baby pics coming.
I love watching Carter grow with you, it’s really makes me miss the days when my son Gavin, now 5, was that tiny. Hold on to these days, they pass so quickly. And I also wanted to say that I ADORE that little pumpkin hat!! Too cute for words!!
Beautiful little boy! I love the thankful trees and how even the little ones know about God’s grace extended to us through Jesus Christ, the most important reason to be thankful!
Oh Carter is just adorable! Love the photo’s! and thank you!! I’ll zip an email off right away. 🙂
Loved seeing all the pictures of Carter! He sure looks like the happiest baby ever. The thankful tree craft is a wonderful idea! We have a brown tree trunk and limbs we cut from brown paper bags and put up on the wall each November. At each meal during the month each family member picks a colored leaf we have cut from constuction paper and writes on it something they are thankful for. By the end of Novemember we have a FULL tree on the wall and very grateful hearts!!!. Its a great way to help us all see the many, many blessings we might otherwise have taken for granted. The best blessing of all is that I have seen my married kids continue this little project with their children in their own homes. Sooo sweet to see!!!
Heather, Carter is just so cute, and I am so happy for you! You surely have some thankful leaves to add to your tree! (Those were darling trees.)
Carter is just gorgeous! I think he is the cutest baby I’ve seen since my own! And your photos capture his expression so well. I love the idea of the thankful tree.
He is absolutely precious! You take awesome pictures. What kind of camera do you use?
I use a Nikon D90. Most of the shots were taken with a 50 mm lens
So very precious, you have a way of capturing the most beautiful photos. I don;t think you are too old to make your own thankful tree …. how about in a quilty sort of way ….. enjoy the season yet to come!
Thank you Thank you Thank you for sharing the pics!! Also a huge thank you to Joel for bringing him to the retreat!!!!
You are soooooo Blessed!! Thanks for the pictures!! Deborah

I love seeing the pictures of Carter at every stage, what a sweetie-pie he is. I think he looks a lot like Joel, but from a different angle, he looks more like you. Funny how that goes. What a blessing he is for your whole family.

Carter is so adorable and you are quite the photographer. I really loved the Trees and what the kids put on them.
I am really enjoying all the photos of you and your little peanut. You’re not boring us AT ALL! I hope you’re getting lots of videos too – I regret not taking more videos of my two boys, capturing the sound of their voices and laughter.
