Joel and I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas! – even if it is a few days late. We have been so busy getting ready for Christmas and going to family get-togethers that I haven’t taken time to blog. We have the day off from celebrating today before more parties on Friday and Sunday (some Christmas and some birthdays), so I really wanted to squeeze this in. We appreciate you stopping by to visit. I especially appreciate all of your nice comments and encouragement throughout the year. This year has been extra special, as we have been able to share our excitement about our little Carter with you! I can tell many of you are so happy for us and we appreciate that too! As you can see, we plastered our Christmas card with more photos of Carter, as I couldn’t pic just one photo (kind of like this blog!)
And just a little note about our coats – Remember this post, where I made fun of Joel for his coats? There was an overwhelming response from people in favor of Joel’s coats, so Carter and I decided if you can’t beat ’em – join ’em!

Thank you for sharing Carter with all of us this past year. He is adorable and I think he is the best dressed little boy I have ever seen (thanks to his Mom & her beautiful knitting). The Christmas card really speaks to what a loving family you are. Personally, I think Joel looks great in that red plaid coat. It is a totally different scaled plaid & cheerier shade of red than the Walter M. coat you compared it to. It also helps that your husband is way cuter than the Grumpier Old Men prototype. I will say that I am glad that the dog ate the matching hat which was functional, but butt ugly. I hope you & your family have a joyful New Year & lots of new adventures with Carter as he continues to learn about the World around him.
