I am quite behind on my Carter pictures. I haven’t done a 6 or 7 month post yet, and he is now 7 1/2 months. These pictures are just a few of my favorites from the last month or two.
He had his first Christmas.
Of course he loved the wrapping just as much as he loved the toys.
He is helping me with my work. We have started a new book and hopefully with the two of us, we can have it ready for spring market 😉
He is still just as smiley.
Maybe even more so, as he is much more content now that he is sitting so good and can sit and play toys.
He is becoming more of a Daddy’s boy and less of a momma’s boy. Joel seems to get the most giggles out of him. (I am trying not to be jealous)
He is getting more and more energetic, so it’s getting harder and harder to get shots like this of him. He is rolling, scooching, and jumping – or in other words – blurry in so many pictures.
He is still a good eater – weighing in at almost 20 pounds. This month is the first time we noticed that while eating his Cheerios, he only uses his left hand. We are seriously wondering if we may have a little left-hander.
This photo totally captures him – Big, bright eyes, big smiles, and the drool coming down the chin. His first tooth has just popped through, so now when people see the drool and ask if he is teething, we can now say yes. (for the last four months we have said we weren’t sure). He has been quite happy despite that razor-sharp tooth coming through. He has even been sleeping good the last three weeks – only getting up once a night.
Until next month . . . .
The photo of Daddy and Son is priceless!
Carter is so adorable! My favorite shot is of you and Carter at the sewing machine. He will either learn how to quilt, or he will be your new sewing machine mechanic 😉 Thanks for sharing.
He is beautiful, as is your entire family! What kind of camera do you use – gorgeous pics…?
Any hints for us about what the new book will be?
So, so cute!
He is just the CUTEST little boy ever!
Guapísimo tu bebe bendiciones para ti y tu familia
You have a beautiful baby boy, I love seeing your pictures!!
My children are all grown and have children of their own, but I used to sit at my sewing machine just like that and sew with them. It seemed like it was the only time I could actually get some sewing done, I have 4 children, they came in 6 years. My girls tell me that is why they don’t like to sew now, I started them way to young. Plus they know their mom will do it for them:) Keep posting pictures!!! ( of the quilts and knitting projects too:)
What a beautiful boy! I love seeing the photos….the happiness in your family just radiates from the pages. God bless you all.
He’s adorable. I don’t know how you get any work done, I would just want to hold and squeeze him all day long.

Adorable pictures!!! I remember sewing with my girls on my lap. Then when they got a little older I would put them by the serger and they would serge and serge and serge away!!!
He is such a cutie. And I love the jumper with the skiing bear
Adorable. He is a doll.
God Bless you and your family , all of you look so happy ,and cute ! What a wonderful blessing it is to be a parent. Enjoy he is growing so fast .
I loved seeing all your photos. You did such a great job of capturing his spirit! Carter has beautiful eyes!
Carter is still cute
He still looks like his mama
And I am so happy that you are enjoying your baby boy!
Thanks so much for the Carter update! I have missed seeing his adorable little face. He is a happy boy and knows he is loved. Warms my heart.
What beautiful pictures! I think he looks more like Joel all the time! But I love how he helps you on your sewing projects. Our daughter is a lefty, and we have no idea where that came from, since both sides of the family are all right-handed. It never was a huge issue until it came to trying to teach her to tie her shoes – it’s very hard to try to do that backwards to demonstrate!! Thanks for sharing.
Your little guy is absolutely adorable! Thanks for sharing the photos! They are great!
He is so beautiful! I’ve said it before, but it is so true. He is always so bright eyed and cheery. A happy baby. I love his look of concentration at the sewing machine. How do you keep his fingers out, lol?? My son started showing left handedness about this age, consolidated when he began spoon feeding himself. Are either you or husband lefthanded? We’re not, but my brother is. There seems to be one in each family.
Joel’s dad is so that would be where it comes from. We were still so surprised, even though it can be found in the family.
Thanks for sharing the adorable pictures. he gets cuter every time I see him. If he’s a lefty, you should teach him to pitch, the Twins are getting desperate:)
Thank you for sharing your little guy with us he is just so very sweet and those big blue eyes!! I use to sit with my grandson on my lap at the sewing machine and he just loved it.
Thanks so much for keeping us updated, with such beautiful/handsome pictures of Carter. He’s photogenic, a snappy dresser and he’s learning to sew. He’s going to make some little girl very happy when he grows up. ;-> Toni Anne
I used to sew with my daughter on my lap. It was the only time I could sew when she was awake. She sews now so maybe it was a good thing to “start” her early. My son would never sit still long enough for me to get anything done. Enjoy Carter! He’s a cutie. And so are you and hubby!
