Welcome back to Part 2 of the preview of my Trendy Table 2 book. It was really fun to read through everyone’s comments on Part 1 of the preview. I was so happy to see so many familiar names and I’m glad to see so many of you back here! Of course new people are always welcome too 😉
Before I continue on with the preview, I would like to share the winner of the book from the last post. The random generator number chose: LouEllen, who commented on May 9th at 8:01 am. Please send your shipping info to hmulder@wecnet.com and I will get your book sent out asap.
First up in the preview is a group shot taken on the beach in Mexico.
Starting from right to left in that shot is Woven and Sew caffeinated (I showed detail shots of both of these in my last post). Then there is Confetti, shown in 2 color ways: a bright version made from my stash and a traditional version made with biscuits and Gravy by Basic Grey for Moda.
I am really liking more solid background. The high contrast just makes all the cute prints pop. This pattern takes just 1 charm pack, plus the background and border.
The bright version with the grey background is my favorite though. These prints are all taken from my stash and I used my favorite grey background – Yarn dyed Essex Linen by Kauffman fabrics in the colorway Graphite.
Lately, I just want to make everything with a grey background and these bright colors! This tropical background doesn’t hurt either 😉 In this shot, the Confetti runner is shown with the 10 Minute Table Runner.
This pattern is super simple and literally takes about 10 minutes to sew the background pieces together, but it does take a little longer if you want to add the applique like I did.
These prints are all from my stash and include some Art Gallery prints, Amy Butler, Alison Glass, Anna Maria Horner and one Moda print. You need 12 – 10″ squares to make this. It would also be great made another row wider and turned into a baby quilt. (I do show some of these size options in the book). If you were making a larger size, you could use fat quarters.
Last up from that group shot is the Holly Hocks runner.
This runner is also made using 1 charm pack or you can cut assorted prints from your stash like I did. (I think the new Color Cuts by Moda would be perfect for a bunch of these runners. If you bought them in a few different colors, you would be able to make quite a few coordinating runners for your house).
I have tried to include some runners in the book that work good for decorating around the seasons. This is one that I will have on my dining room table during the summer.
This next runner is called Dutch Girls and will be my spring table decor.
I have included a couple of options for Fall – Though the first one could easily be made in other colors. It’s called Sun Kissed.
This runner also uses 5″ squares, plus two contrast prints (shown in white and navy).
Even more fall-ish is this pumpkin runner called Pumpkin Patch. These patch-style pumpkins have been popular for a while, so I figured it was high time that I made a runner with them!
Once again, this runner uses 5″ squares (for the pumpkins and border), plus a green and a background. You could also use 2 1/2″ strips for the scrappy part.
The grey background fabric is a Moda Mochi dot.
I also made something with a winter theme – even though winter is my least favorite season. Snowflakes are always pretty, so I designed this block to look like a snowflake. It is strip pieced and uses the Creative Grids 60-degree triangle ruler, which is why I have called it the Magic Snowflake Runner.
This pattern uses 2 1/2″ strips, plus the white and red fabrics. You could also use fat eighths.
I’ve also included a topper version for all of you asking for something for a round end table.
And one last group shot. . . . . Once again, you can let me know your favorite in the comments. I will send out one more complimentary copy from the comments, so check back for my next post to see who the winner is. You can also check with your local quilt shop to see if they have the book in yet or order the book here.
Love them all but “Confetti” is my fav. Glad you are posting again, I’ve missed seeing your beautiful work.
The 10 Minute Runner with the applique and Hollyhocks are my favorites. Fun and easy. Thanks.
How do you come up with such wonderful runners? You’re so creative! I love any and all things Autumn, so the Pumpkin runner is the one I like best. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love Hollyhocks but Pumpkin Patch is a close runner up!
Confetti…
I love the hollyhocks table runner. Growing up, my grandma had lots and lots of hollyhocks at her house. I always loved them.
I was immediately drawn to the Confetti table runner. But then I saw the Dutch Girls runner, and since I’m Dutch, I really should make one of those! And then there’s the fall pumpkin option….Oh, my! They are all gorgeous!
I can’t choose between, Hollyhock, Pumpkins or Magic Snowflake-they are just wonderful Heather!
I’m still loving Sew Caffeinated but those pumpkins are awfully cute too! 😍
I’m thinking I would make the snowflakes first!
Well, I love many of them! I have use for the round one especially. So I’ll work on one for each season. Thanks for the inspiration Heather. Nice to see an email from you.
These table runners are beautiful.
see caffeinated as I am a big coffee drinker, but also like the pumpkins as fall is my favorite season
They are all Beautiful!
I too love the gray background with bright colors, and see they’ve been out on a tropical vacation! Also, love the winter theme runner with the 60 degree angle snowflakes as another favorite. Actually, there isn’t a one that I don’t like. You are so talented.
It’s so hard to choose, but Magic Snowflake is probably my favorite.
I like fall colors, the Pumpkin runner is cute! I also like the Magic Snowflake pattern. Thanks for the opportunity to win the book.
My favourite is Pumpkin Patch but the Dutch Girls runner is high on my list. I need to make a whole bunch of these for me and for gifts.
I love the tropical colors, too! Sew Caffeinated is the best. ❤
My favorite has to be Dutch Girls. Although I love the variety of seasonal table runners. It’s always fun to change out the table with something new.
I don’t like winter, but I think Snowflakes is my favorite, followed by Pumpkin Patch.
I like patterns that I would make again and again in different colorways. I think Confetti would be one of those.
Oh goodness, so hard to choose! I’ll pick Confetti as my favorite today, but I know I will make lots of different runners from this book once I get it. It’s on the top of my wishlist for sure.
Confetti. But I could seriously make all of them
The snowflakes one catches my eye!
I like all of your runners but my very favorite is the hollyhock runner! I Love the bright colors!
They are all gorgeous! I especially love the dutch Girls and the Holly Hocks….must be time to plant some more!
It’s Dutch Girl by a nose. But seriously, they are all winners!
I love the confetti runner but all of them are nice
Snowflakes. Sewing it in the AZ summer might help me to feel cool!
The one for the round table as those patterns are hard to find.
Again, I love them all, but Confetti is my pick. Love all the vibrant colors. Thank you for sharing.
You have designed an amazing collection. I think my favorite is Dutch Girls. It’s so happy! But the Ten Minute Runner intrigues me. Simple quilt dressed up with an applique.
The Holly Hocks runner is my favorite and the Magic Star runner a close second!!
These are all so amazing! I can’t decide which I want to make first!! 🤩
Reading this post, I first thought Hollyhock was beautiful, but then Snowflake came along and stole the show. It’s gorgeous! The scrappy pumpkin is great as well. I can see this book is a must for my library!
Beautiful runners. Very inspiring. There are several I would like to make.
Ok. I’ve changed my mind. Pumpkin Patch is the first one I’ll make. Followed by the Puppy 😉 And I’m definitely using Essex linen in graphite everywhere I possibly can! Thanks for all the inspiration!
I don’t usually use runners on my tables… But after seeing all your fun, beautiful, creative ideas… I want to make and use all of them!! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Wow the runners look fantastic on the shed was…….
Dutch Girls is just too cute for words. LOVE it!
Love them all but Confetti and Dutch Girls really caught my eye!
My favorite is the snowflake.
I love the confetti runner. It’s so colorful & I know that I have fabrics in my stash that would look great in it. Thanks for sharing-I love looking at the samples you make.
I love them all but I have to say 10 minute runner with the appliqué is first to make on my list followed by Hollyhocks. Thank you for making this table runner book. I will be making several patterns out of it.
I love the Holly Hock pattern & can’t wait to make it. They are all so pretty & this is one book that I would use over & over again.
They are all so wonderful, it’s hard to pick one. But the hollyhock runner is pretty. I remember when I was a little girl and we went to grandmas farm, she had hollyhocks growing near the front steps. Brings back good memories.
I am loving that Dutch Girls runner!!
Really love the one with the big colourful pieces with the appliqué on it but they are all so nice it was hard to choose xx
Really love the appliqué one x
I am drawn to the Snowflake options and Confetti – especially in bright colors! It sure is hard to pick one or two! Another great book!
Love the hollyhock pattern!
Oh, what beautiful projects – the bright colors would coordinate with my great room so well! My colors pop because they are taken from my Fiesta Ware collection! Keeping my fingers crossed!
I just found your blog from Pinterest and I am in love!!! I love all these runners!
Out of this bunch, my favorite is the pumpkins. But I also like the unnamed fall runner. They are all simply fabulous!
They are all so beautiful! I would love to make one of each! I do love snowflakes so that is my favorite.
Loving the Dutch Girls!!! Tulips are my favorite flower, after all!
Just lovely !! I have just planted some Hollyhocks and seeing that lovely Hollyhocks tablerunner is so inspiring. Thanks so much for the preview.
I love the cleverness of Dutch Girls!
I like them all but in the “group” picture, I really like the movement I see in the Confetti runner!
I was going to say Hollyhocks is my favorite, but then Snowflakes caught my eye. Although not a big fan of winter~ I love star blocks!! Thanks for the fun!!
Oh my, these are cute too! Snowflakes, no wait Duchess, but Confetti is fun too…As you can see I have quite the dilemma in choosing a favorite. 🙂 The colors and fabrics are perfect as well…guess I have another one of your books to purchase.! Thanks Heather, I really enjoy seeing and making your designs!
oops, it was supposed to be Dutch Girls not Duchess….:)
It was so difficult to chose just one pattern, this is a terrific book. I would have to say “Pumpkin Patch” is my favorite
I love them all. Favorite would be the one for the round table.
Hollyhocks, pumpkins and the 10 minute runner are my favourites!
The runners are AMAZING! I am loving the designs and colors. I am having trouble picking a favorite. However, Ithink I am gravitating to the Dutch Girls. And yetI like the the Pumpkin patch too. I am certain I would make all of the runners!
I would want to start out making Confetti, but would want to make them all. Another winning runner book.
I love them all, my favorite is Holly Hocks. Lovely runners!!
Another awesome round of table runners. My favorite is the magic snowflake runner. I lived in MN for 19 years and I miss the white Christmases. Thanks for the giveaway!!!
I love them all, but Confetti is my definite favorite, followed by Hollyhocks. Really, I could close my eyes and pick any of them and be thrilled!
Another lovely bunch of table runners! I love seasonal decor so the pumpkin and snowflake runners caught my eye, but the book is full of projects i want to try
The Confetti runner & the 10 Minute runner are two of my favorites. Thanks for the giveaway!
I like the Magic Snowflake Runner best followed by Pumpkin Patch. Thanks
Even though I’m not crazy about winter, either, I do like the Magic Snowflake Runner and the hexagon table topper. I really like hexagons! and hope to get a copy of your book!
Hollyhocks, Pumpkin Patch and the 10 Minute Table Runner all scream at me. And the Magic Snowflake hexagon would fit my round table.
I think the pumpkins are my favorite of this bunch!
Wow, love so many of them, but I think Dutch Girls is my favorite from this batch.
Hollyhocks is my favorite, but Pumpkin Patch is a close second!
So hard to choose just one as they are all lovely. I remember Hollyhocks at my Grandma’s house too so I will choose that one for sentimental reasons.
I love anything geometric. Sunkissed is my favorite.
I love all the runners the colors are so fun and bright. I wish I had more places at my house to display them.
The topper version of the Magic Snowflake Runner is my favorite!
All beautiful runners but I think my favorite would be the Pumpkins, such a fun fall decoration.
Confetti is my favorite!
Just like part 1 of the preview, it’s so hard to choose a favorite, which really is a testament to your talent, creativity, and beautiful designs. I’ve basically got a three-way tie between Holly Hocks, Dutch Girls, and the Magic Snowflake Runner but if I can only choose one, Dutch Girls is definitely my favorite. I even have someone in mind to make it for as a gift! Thanks, once again, for the opportunity to win your new book. You definitely hit this one out of the park!
