It’s been a busy summer, with kids activities, playing in the lake, entertaining and some travel for work, so I haven’t had time to share anything with you for a couple months. So – let’s get up to date! Here’s a favorite photos sharing 2 of those things that have been keeping me busy. . . Finally – After a rainy and cold June, we’ve had some beautiful lake days!
But despite having so many things going on, I have managed to finish up some quilts and I realized that there are a few things from my last book that I haven’t shared here yet. The first quilt is below – called “The Big Easy”.
The featured fabrics are from a new line from Riley Blake called Rhapsody, by Sedef Imer.
It’s a very cute line and I think it pairs well with this pattern – There is nice contrast and it shows off some of the florals.
The background is a new favorite called Blossom. It’s part of Riley Blake’s basic collection and was designed by Christopher Thompson.
The next couple that I wanted to share are made using the Hashtag pattern, also from the new book “Simple Treasures”. This photo shows all 4 versions from the book.
This pattern is super quick to make – as you can tell by how many versions I got done for the book. It takes me about an hour to sew and just 1 charm pack, so you can’t beat that!
I tried a new quilting design on this one – It was fun!
Next up is the little girl version – which makes a great baby quilt. This fabric line is Serenade by Cyndi Walker, also for Riley Blake Designs.
And how about this cute little boy version? It features the line “Joey” by Deena Rutter for Riley Blake. Click here to see more of the fabric, with it’s charming koala bears and sloths 🙂
The next 2 also use Charm packs or 5″ squares and feature my fabric line, Wildflower Boutique (coming in September).
The first one is Super Star. It’s just a cell phone picture, so please forgive the greens looking yellowish and the grey looking purplish!
Next up is Jewel Box. This one is also a cell phone photo, but at least the quilting really shows!
I think I’m up to date on what I have finished. If you like the projects that I’ve shared, you can find the book here. Thanks for stopping by!
Wow! Just wow! And your sons are adorable! 🙂
love the book, and anxious to see your new fabric
Thanks again for the nice pictures of the quilts, and also the boys- they sure are growing up. Makes me motivated to do more quilting. Thanks for the post. Patty B.
