Today I finally get to start sharing what I have been working so hard on for the last six months! And just a warning – this is a really long post, as I wanted to share a little bit about the thought process behind the concept, along with all the pictures. There is a reward if you make it to the end 😉
It seems that each time I set out to start designing some new projects, it gets harder and harder. There are several reasons that I find it so challenging – and these reasons do not include my busy 10 month old boy! I have been in the industry for quite a while and have done lots of patterns and books. If I counted right, this is my 26th book! After doing that many books and patterns, I often feel that it is practically impossible for me to come up with something new and original. Plus, add to that the hundreds of other designs already on the market and it can feel like a very overwhelming, often impossible task. Sometimes I decide I am okay with just coming up with a design that I think is cute, but most of the time I really wish for something unique.
One day, while machine quilting, I started thinking about quilts that I want to make – just for fun (what a novel concept ?!?!). My mind seems to wander quite a bit while I am machine quilting, so I use that time to do a lot of thinking (kind of like some people that have all their good ideas in the shower).
The thought that came to mind is that I have always wanted to make a kaleidoscope quilt. (You can click here if you want to see a few images of a basic kaleidoscope quilt – though this page also has lots of intricate kaleidoscope quilts). The basic kaleidoscope shape has a 45-degree angle at the top and a 67 1/2-degree angle in the two bottom corners. It’s really just a simple triangle, but it can be made into some really fun shapes. As I began focusing on that shape, I started to wonder how I could use strip units to make some new blocks. Those thoughts became the quilts in my new book “Angles with Ease” and led to the production of my companion ruler the “Triangler”. Books are a huge investment of time and money, but finally I had something that was new and different. After months of going back and forth, and with too many options to fit in a single pattern, we decided to move forward with production.
So, after all that, today I get to share the strip pieced quilts from the new book! (Later this week I will post on the other projects from the book)
I just fell in love with the concept that such unique shapes could be made from the strip units. In the past these shapes could only be made with separate templates for each little triangle. Then you had all the intricate work of lining up and sewing all those angles, pieces and bias edges. Strip units are so much easier! Each of the blocks requires a different strip unit – with different widths, setbacks, etc. Here are just a few of the strip units from the book:
They don’t look like anything special – but each one has been carefully calculated to get just the right number of triangles for each block, in the correct sizes, with the correct angles etc. My brain still hurts from doing all the calculations! But now that all the math and figuring is done, all you have to do is use the ruler to turn the strip unit into these:
Again, these don’t look like anything special, but when you sew them together, you can make some really fun blocks. If you look closely, you see the kaleidoscope triangles in the blocks below.
The triangles can be sewn into the octagon shape you see on the right, or you can add corner triangles to make the square blocks shown on the left. This means lots of layout options! But, more importantly, I think breaking it down shows you how much simpler the blocks are to make than they look at first glance (which is a very prevalent theme in my designs)
So, now that we have that out of the way, let’s looks at the quilts that are made from those simple triangles.
First up, the cover quilt: Cosmo – featuring the fabric line Happy Go Lucky by Bonnie and Camille
By the way, none of the blocks are “set in”. The quilt is constructed in rows, just like the quilts from my “Sizzlin’ Sixties” book. This is the quilt that I think looks most like looking into an actual kaleidoscope.
Next up – Spin Cycle, featuring my Summer House fabric line.
If you are worried about lining up those block centers, simply cover them with a small circle. Now nobody will know if you centers match or not!
This is just one of the many size options included in the book (which is another reason that my brain still hurts!) There are over 30 size options included in the book, so each design has several sizes to choose from. I wouldn’t want you to have to go through the agony of all that math!
This fabric line is called Aspen by Basic Grey, for Moda fabrics.
The third design – Winter Solstice, featuring Kate Spain’s new Christmas line “In from the Cold” , also by Moda.
The fourth design: Sunday Spin, featuring the “Strawberry Fields” fabric designed by Joanna Figueroa for Moda fabrics.
Rising Star, again featuring my Summer House line.
I really had fun machine quilting this one.
This design also makes a cute topper. I always get lots of people requesting patterns for round tables and this one would work perfectly.
You just need a few fat quarters and 2 half yard cuts to make it. A few kits are available here.
For those of you who have made it to the end of this post, I am giving away a copy of the book and ruler. Just leave me a comment stating your favorite quilt and you will be entered to win!
I will be back in a few days to share the rest of the projects from the book! (click here to see part 2)
The books and rulers started shipping to quilt shops last week, so they should be at your local shop soon. We also have them available in our online store.
The colors in the quilts are so fresh, but I have to say I like Rising Star. Your are an amazing creative machine. Can you send some of your energy my way????
They are all adorable, but I am partial to Sunday Spin. It looks like it would be a fun filled process to make!
I love everything you do, I love the colors you put together, and I love this new book.
Can’t wait to get it and start making a new quilt.
Your blog is the one I always check in on, thanks for continuing to motivate me.
Rising Star is my favorite. You always come up with wonderful quilts and gorgeous fabrics. Thanks so much!
Wow . . . terrific patterns!! I think Sunday Spin is my favorite. They look like they are moving! Thanks for the chance to win. 🙂
This book looks like so much fun! I just love trying out a new technique. I am very excited to see the print version.
I absolutely love everything you do! I can’t wait to try out your latest pattern along with the ruler!
I like them all, but Rising Stars wins as my favorite, thanks for the chance to win.
I love Spin Cycle and have fabric in my stash that would look great!
Rising Star is my fave! I am a big fan of kaleidoscope quilts, and this is one I know I will want to add to my series. Thanks for the opportunity to win. Your blog is also one of my favorites!
Wow Heather you always come up with the best designs. And your fabric choices always are so complimentary. I’d say that Winter Solstice is a favorite. Very exciting to see all these patterns made up. Great job!
I love Spin Cycle with the circle covering the center. It is just the design that I have been looking to make. You are such an inspiration and talented artist, it’s like a gift when one of your posts arrive! Thank you for sharing your creative process.
I love them all, but I think Spin Cycle is my favorite. Especially in that lovely Basic Grey fabric. I can’t wait to try one!
Heather, My favorite quilt in this blog post is Rising Sun. I do love stars!! Another favorite quilt pattern of yours is Starlit Evening, which I am working on now using California Girl fabric! I also a Starlit Evening quilt in progress using Artful Home.
What I love about your patterns is that they are unique and look complicated, yet your instructions are written so well that the process of making the quilt is not hard. I also really appreciate that you tell which direction to press the seams so they always butt together so nicely when pieced. You have true skill with the brain of an engineer to figure out the measuring, cutting, and piecing, and then cutting again and re-piecing in order to create amazing blocks.
Love all of them! But I think “Winter Solstice” really jumps out at me the most! Thanks for the chance to win. Congrats on the new book!
Wow!! Your quilts are absolutely beautiful!! I’m wanting to make a new quilt for my bed as the one that’s on there needs to be lovingly retired, and one of these would be spectacular! Glad you are able to relax after your book, math makes me ill just thinking about it! Blessing to you and yours!
All the patterns are great but I think I like Spin Cycle the best. I appreciate you doing all the math for us. 🙂
Spin Cycle is my favorite. I will make that soon.
I Love your books. Thank you
Best Wishes on another success.
I like the Rising Star or Winter Solstice the best-but they’re ALL beautiful! I can just imagine how your head must have hurt when figuring out all the angles & sizes-thank you!
What fun quilts! Spin Cycle really appeals to me. Thanks for doing all the math to come up with these beautiful designs.
I love the Rising Star one! Looking forward to hearing about more of the patterns in the book. You make such beautiful quilts!
My favorite – hands down – is Spin Cycle. What a great idea.
They are all gorgeous but Cosmo is my favorite. The fabrics and the design are so fresh and happy and just perfect for our long-awaited spring!
Once again Heather you have out done yourself. They all are beautiful but my favorite is Cosmos.
I could not decide between the Spin Cycle and Rising Star. If forced to make up my mind, I would probably pick Rising Star. One thing nice about quilts, you don’t have to just pick one!
My favorite is Spin Cycle in the Summer House fabrics. I have a few of your earlier books which I really enjoy, and no doubt this will be a good one too!
I love them all but Spin Cycle is my favorite!
I love the table topper for the round table. The angles make it exciting to look at. Great job with the new book and ruler.
Oh wow! wow! wow! I love kaleidoscope quilts, but have not been brave enough to try one. I love all your designs! Rising Star would be at the top of my list, but I would really like to try them all! Thanks so much for the chance!
I think Rising Star is my favorite, though they are all just terrific!
Winter Solstice is my favorite. Thank you for doing all the calculations for the rest of us. Have a wonderful day.
I love them all so far!
I just love your designs, and fabric choices! I’m about to start on a Spaghetti Junction quilt from your Living Large 2 book. I think my favorite from this collection is Spin Cycle. I love the movement in that quilt! I am a ruler junkie, and would just love to win this new set!
winter solstice!!! love it!!! thanks for the chance to win. 🙂
I like the table topper. It looks to be beyond my abilities but your designs have always been good ones for me. So, I can learn and have a wonderful project when all is said and done!
This is a MUST HAVE for sure. I love spin cycle! I love them ALL!
Maybe Cosmo of the ones shown here.
For my own quilts, it is always the next one!
What a great book! You make it look simple. I’m sure it took a long time to do that! I like all of them but I think I would make Rising Star first. Thanks for the chance to win. I really enjoy seeing all of your beautiful quilts.
I like them all but I think Sunday Spin is my favorite. Thank you for a chance to win.
I love all your fresh colors/fabrics. Cosmo is my favorite!
I have a wall in my house that is just screaming for a quilt…Rising Star would be a perfect fit! Love the idea of a book with lots of options and sizes too!
This looks like something really fun. I love rulers and new techniques. I love kaleidoscope quilts. I think that’s my favorite…the first one. This must have been a lot of work. I admire you for doing all the work for us! Thanks!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Rising Star – the table runner if adorable.
You created the ruler and all the quilt designs while caring for an infant. You are amazing! I love all of your designs but Rising Star is my initial favorite. I would love to win your new book and ruler. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
Love all of these!! I like Cosmo the best and then Rising Star, love it as a table topper.
Beautiful and fun quilts. I love the design and colors. My favorites are Spin Cylce and the Rising Star Table topper. Thank you for making complicated things easier!
Love them all but Rising Star and Spin Cycle are my favorites. What great quilts. You make them all look so simple. Thanks for the new book and the giveaway.
I’m so excited for this book! My favorite is the Rising Star as a table topper.
Beautiful quilts and very clever idea! I love Sunday Spin ! Would love to have your book and ruler. Thanks!
I love a few of them, but I think my favorite is Spin Cycle in Summer House. BTW, I finished my Spaghetti Junction Quilt Kit and will be basting today. LOVE it!!!
All are lovely, but I think I like Winter Solstice. Thanks for the chance!
Love them all but I am particularly drawn to Rising Star. I like its potential as a table topper. Thanks for doing all that math. I would love to win but if I don’t, I will buy the book and ruler. Just a side note……I love seeing pics of that darling baby.
can’t decide! I love Spin Cycle and Winter Solstice. Do I really have to choose just one?????
Wow, this is a hard decision! I like all of them! If I have to choose, I’ll say Rising Star. I’d really love to win your book and ruler. Thanks for the chance.
I just love Rising Star. That table topper is adorable!!!! It would also make a cute floor pillow!
Love it! The round tabletopper is my fave. I have to have that on my dining room table. Thanks for all your great patterns & decorating ideas, Heather!
Rising Star would probably be my favorite, but the cover quilt is great too! I will definitely be getting the book and ruler. Beautiful designs! I would love to win.
I love the Rising Star quilt! So pretty. All of them are great, by the way! 🙂
Wow, how fun are these! Love them all. Can’t wait for the book and the ruler!
Oh my, this could be a book from which I make every single pattern! But I guess my favorite is Winter Solstice, followed very closely by Spin Cycle. You are amazing to keep coming up with all these lovely fabrics and quilty designs!
I love the winter solstice quilt! Beautiful work, thanks for the chance!
I love them all but would have to say my two favorite are the cover quilt and Spin Cycle. Spin Cycle reminds me of the hand held pinwheel toy that turns in the wind. Fun!
You have achieved your goal of unique! I love them all, but I would say that Spin Cycle is my favorite. Love the idea of the appliqué center to hide the imperfections. I will definitely be adding the book and ruler to my collection!
Oh, they are all so beautiful, but I think my favorite is Spin Cycle done with Summer House. I am so glad I found this blog. I have already ordered a few of your books as you have really inspired me! You have a beautiful family too!
I can see myself making Winter Solstice first. Great design, as are they all.
I love Spin Cycle. The one you made, the background seems to pop the colors so they seem dimensional! They all are wonderful!
How to choose a favorite from all those fabulous designs??? I’m always a sucker for stars as in Rising Star, and I love the effect you get in Cosmo so I want to make that one too but I think my favorite is Winter Solstice. Lovely, all of them! Thanks for offering a giveaway- that’s very generous. Now can you breathe easy for a bit or are you off to Portland too?
Pick a favorite?!? Do you know how hard that is with your patterns?? I think Spin Cycle would be the firsto one I’d have to try to make. These really do look imtimidating, but I know from reading past books and patterns of your’s, that you always make things clear and easy. Plus the fact that you have made them so they can be sewn in strips is even better!! I can’t wait to get my hands on this book and ruler to add to my collection! Once again, you have produced an amazing book!
I think they all look great but I really like Spin Cycle and Sunday Spin. I would love to do one of those in batik fabrics or solids.
Wow! I don’t know that I could really choose which would be my favorite, but if I had to choose it would be between Spin Cycle and Winter Solstice. Thanks Heather for another book well done and for taking the time to teach all of us!
I love the Sunday Spin and Rising Star. They both look so fun.
I love them all! I could never come up with a new pattern design, that’s why I just love to sew them. My fav is Rising Star. And I do have a round table, so that table topper would be perfect. I even thought about it as a Christmas tree skirt. Can’t wait to see the rest.
I love Sunday spin-but I like them all—I am excited for your new book and ruler—what a great idea—it all feels so fresh and happy..
All beautiful!! Can’t decide!! You are sew talented!!!!!!! Love your work!!
What a great idea! It’s amazing that the quilt are sewn together in rows rather than set in. I think my favorite of the ones you’ve shown would have to be the cover quilt Cosmo. Love the design and the fabrics!
Would love to try some of the quilts in the book. My favorite of the ones you have pictured here is Spin Cycle. Congratulations on another book!
I cannot pick just one I love all the quilts. I too like angles. You have made it look so easy can’t wait to try your method.
Congratulations on another great book! I love Spin Cycle. Thank you for the generous giveaway.
Gosh, it is really hard to choose a favorite, but I guess I would choose Spin Cycle. They are all BEAUTIFUL and such creativity in coming up with this ruler! Thank you so much for your inspiration and fantastic books and fabric (and now a ruler!)
They’re all fabulous but ‘Rising Star’ is my favourite!
I love them all, but Rising Star is my favorite with Cosmo a close second. The table topper is neat, too! So many neat choices. Thanks for the chance to win such a wonderful prize!
It’s hard to choose just one! I think Spin Cycle and Rising Star are my favorites.
The Rising Star looks awesome. I’ve wanted to make a star quilt for a long time.
What an awesome technique! I’m so impressed by your ability to figure this one out! Cosmo is my favorite, although I love them all!
I just love the Sunday Spins – some gorgeous quilts! Thanks for doing a great giveaway.
I love them all but Spin Cycle would be the pattern that I make first, it’s got so much movement going on, I love it!
Beautiful quilts and what a neat way to do triangles. You are very clever. I really like Rising Star and Winter Solstice. Congratulations on the new book and patterns.
I can’t decide between Rising Star topper and Spin Cycle. I love them all! Great job Heather.
Spin cycle was my favorite. I can’t wait to give the Triangler a try. (Plus another must need gadget) All the quilts look like a lot of fun.
This is tough! They are all lovely.. But I think my favourite is Winter Solstice.
I looked at your blog last week and fell in love with your Cosmo quilt. I showed it to a friend and we couldn’t wait to see how you strip pieced it. I have been in a rut of doing things the hard way and I was so happy to see an easy way to make a beautiful quilt. I am glad that while you were quilting along you let your mind wander into it’s creative niche! Great Job!!
I love the Spin Cycle! But then again, I love all your quilts! Thank you so much for doing all the math for us!
Love the ruler and the math all done!! I love the Sunday Spin as well as all the other designs. Congratulations on another book and the ruler!
Rising Star is my favorite! The blocks look very complicated but with your new ruler, I bet they are a snap to do. Thanks for all the great photos and the chance at the giveaway.
Oh my gosh, I love them all. But if I have to pick just one, I think it would be Stawberry Fields!!
Very hard to choose a favorite! I would love to make Cosmo and the Rising Star, the Table Topper would be a bonus for the Rising Star!! Your fabrics are so “happy”, love working with them. Thank you for the opportunity to have a chance at winning. Di Ann S
I love your Spin Cycle … In both color ways. Love your quilting too. 26 books is amazing. I have to start collecting them! Beautiful work and inspiration.
I love these patterns! I think I would choose either Cosmo or Spin Cycle as my favorite but I really love all of them! Great job!
Oh My Gosh HEATHER!! I LOVE this! I have always wanted to do some more complicated patterns, but have shied away due to the perceived difficulty. This looks fantastic! I love Spin Cycle and Cosmo, and I’d love to do one in the Here Fishy Fishy line for my 1 year old boy! (I asked my quilt shop to pick up some Here Fishy Fishy and some of your books at quilt market this year, she’s looking into it. If not, I’ll be buying from you online!!) You do such great work. I’m very impressed that you manage all this with a baby, I haven’t sewn anything but a hem on some curtains since my boy arrived. 🙂 Thanks for another ingenious design!
WoW!! Cosmo is amazing! Just like a real kaleidoscope! Amazing work! All these quilts are fabulous and look like they would be fun to make! I would have to put a circle in all the centers though! 🙂 Thanks for all your hard work!
Love the spin cycle. As always love what you do with strip units. AMAZING!
Rising star will be the first
Those look like a lot of fun! Would have to say Spin Cycle is my favorite, although I do need to make a new topper for my round table. 🙂
Spin Cycle is my favorite, but everyone is exciting. You are so clever in your designing.
It’s really hard to choose, as I love them all, but I guess Cosmo would be the one that appeals to me the most.
Heather, I like them all. As I was reading through your post, I was thinking that each one was nicer
than the one before it. If I absolutely HAD to choose a favorite, I think it would be Spin Cycle. No,
maybe Sunday Spin. Or maybe Winter Solstice. Nope, I can’t choose just one 😉
I’m really looking forward to diving into this book!
I love everything you do but if I have to pick one I like Spin Cycle!! Your quilting amazes me and I still think you should do a video tutorial on your quilting! Yep ~ that’s what I want for Christmas … a video!!!!
Wow! These are such wonderful quilts, I love when the block makes such complicated designs without sewing that’s technically difficult! And I do love specialty rulers with great documentation, they are so much fun to play with. I love Cosmo and Rising Star especially. Thanks for the opportunity.
I love the Strawberry Fields quilt. Since I am such a new quilter these seem pretty advanced to me! You make it seem easy. 🙂
Spin cycle is my favourite, but it is a difficult choice. Can’t wait to see the book!
They are all so great! It was hard to just pick one; so in saying that I picked Cosmo as my favorite. Also on Spin Cycle I thought of using buttons for the centers would look good too.
Rising Star with your fabric line Summer House is my favorite-favorite. They’re all my favorite but that one’s the best….but Cosmos is really great too and I really like Winter Solstice 🙂
Oh Heather what beautiful quilts. I love how your mind works out such superb patterns and fabric designs. You are so gifted.
The pick for my most favorite one would be – Spin Cycle!
Thank you for the chance to win.
I like Cosmo…it’s a fun shape, out of the ordinary. You do a great job and we appreciate all the work you do to make quilting fun and easy for us.
Oh my gosh! I love them all but Rising Star really speaks to me. I have a round dining table so I like it for that reason as well.
These designs are so amazing! I especially like Spin Cycle made with the Aspen fabric line and I love the table topper. Can’t wait to see what else there could possibly be. Great job! I love it.
Angles With Ease is great. As usual I love your fabric choices and they look great with the new designs. These quilts look hard but know they will be fun to make. Thanks for the giveaway.
Love the Rising Star!
Wow !!! How can I pick just one. I love them all !!! I would love this book and ruler. I would like to make the table topper first and Spin Cycle next. Thanks for the fresh new designs !
I love them all, they are beautiful!!!
Rising Star AND Cosmo – hard to pick! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your new book and ruler ideas! I’ve been looking for something for my little quit bee (a bunch of snowbirds in Florida) to do next winter! I can practice at home all summer and be ready to roll! Thanks for the chance to win and for sharing your wonderful new ideas!!
Love, love, love these, and the concept!! The first one I will have to make is the cover quilt, Cosmos. It seems to showcase the variety of fabrics really well. Like how you have changed things up and created some fun triangles to play with! Thanks for sharing, and your generosity.
I like Spincycle: the ones that look like those pinwheels-on-a-stick that we used to stick in the garden when we were kids…and the wind would twirl them. So pretty & such a great childhood memory!
I love Spin Cycle. That one has so much movement to it. Love the colors you used too.
I love them all but especially the Winter solstice quilt. I am still a relatively new quilter so anything that makes complicated looking patterns is great
I love Rising Star! This book is a must-have for me, for sure.
Rising Star would get my vote – thanks!
Heather – Well done again! I love them all, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be a toss up between Sunday Spin and Rising Star. You are such a talent!!
Wow, I can’t pick a favorite! They are all beautiful and unique, I always like the pinwheel look, and this is a new twist on them that I haven’t done before. Here’s crossing my fingers…
Love the final table topper because of the angles of course & the striped border. Thanks.
Love, love, love them all! But if I had to choose, it would be Cosmo.
I think Winter Solstice is my favorite, but they are all great! Way to go Heather! Thanks for the giveaway!
Heather, you’ve done it again. You have me waiting impatiently for my LQS to get your newest book! I just love Spin Cycle. Making something with triangles in on my To Do list. I guess I found the perfect pattern. By the way, I love all your patterns because they can be made with just small amounts of many different fabrics. I collect fabric on a small scale, so being able to pull together 10-15 that coordinate, and add a border fabric makes me super happy! Thanks for offering all the great inspiration, and for the chance to win!
Love the spin cycle in Aspen! Although I am partial to the cover quilt too. Would definitely like to add your book (and ruler) to my collection.
Spin Cycle is my favorite. Yours is so happy and springy!
I’m drawn to Cosmo quilt because of the hexagon shapes. As an English paper piecer of hexagons this is a shape I like to see in quilts.
I love the Rising Star pattern – Right now I am really into smaller projects to “gift” and I love the table topper size. Beautiful patterns and fabric — as always!!
Me! Me! Me!
Love the idea of kaleidescope quilt! Cosmos is my favorite. Woukd like to make one for my husband as he looked thru a kaleidescope for the first time at 52years old! He had no idea what it was!
I have to have 2 favorites; Spin Cycle with Aspen fabric choice and the Winter Solstice. I like the fact that Spin Cycle could be left out all year long but since I am a Christmas baby, my FAVORITE quilt is the Winter Solstice. I would bring this out Thanksgiving evening and it would be out until the first of February. Can’t wait to see the book and the ruler is a given, I have to have it.
They’re all great!! Love them all, but to pick just one , it would be the Sunday Spin 🙂
Hi Heather, Wow what a wonderful book AGAIN! Very hard to decide which one . I like Spin Cycle in the Basic Grey fabrics, always love Christmas fabrics. But the love the dramatic block of Rising Sun. Multiple sizing is just fabulous. Thank you
If I were to win the book and ruler I would make Spin Cycle first! I just love this quilt! Then, of course, I’d go on to make all of the others! Thanks for a chance to win!
It would be hard to pick which one to try first! I love the kalidescope quilts, have been looking for a pattern!
Love spin cycle! My 2 year old granddaughter was visiting this afternoon, one of her favourite things to do is “laundry”. I have an antique childs wooden ironing board and a mini iron, she loves to iron her container of left over I spy blocks and then “wash” them in a basket and start all over again. When Mommy says it is time to go home, she says ” No, I do laundry”. lol So Spin Cycle it is!
Your color sense is really amazing. I like all of the quilts even ones where I don’t love the pattern but the way you’ve put together the pattern and fabrics makes me like it. My favorite is Spin Cycle–especially the version with the brown centers.
oh, my , goodness, you have been busy . Both with your fingers and with your mathematical mind.
I hope to get the table topper kit first!!!
Spin cycle is my favorite, although it was tough to choose. The quilting just makes the spinner just pop off the quilt! Love it
A hard choice! I think it’s rising star….followed closely by cosmos and spin cycle! I reserve the right to change my mind!
That overwhelming work on quilt. Do not know what is more beautiful is difficult to decide on one. Maybe Spin Cycle, the one I call the atennción but they are all beautiful. Thank you for your dedication and effort to think about new designs and innavadores Thanks for everything
You have been busy. My favorite quilt I think is either the table topper or Cosmo – featuring the fabric line Happy Go Lucky by Bonnie and Camille
Wow I love all the designs you created. I’m going to buy the book the second I see it!!
I like Rising Star. Looks like a great book.
I love the quilt you made out of your Summer House fabric line. It’s just gorgeous. i would love to win.
Tough choice!!! But I am going to go with Sunday Spin!
Cosmo is my favorite because it looks like a modern update of the kaleidoscope block. I can see why your brain hurts! There’s alot of math involved in working with all those different angles. I’ll bet your high school geometry teacher would be impressed!
I love them all, but I think my very favorite is cosmo! It looks like a really fun quilt to make!
Spin Cycle is my favorite, but I think I already told you that! All of them are so impressive.
I like sunday spin. And love the colors you used!
Hard to choose as they are all lovely designs. My favorite is Winter Solstice.
“Rising Star” is just the best, I love it and appreciate the chance to win your new book!!
“Spin Cycle” is my favorite – what fun fabric. They are all really fun, almost hard to pick a favorite. Thanks for the chance to win your new book!!!
Heather, these are all such great quilts. WOW, I didn’t know you had made that many books, that’s awesome! I learned how to strip piece years ago, when I made a Lone star quilt. I’ve always enjoy strip piecing the best, and try to incorporate it into my own work. Thanks for the giveaway, the book and ruler look great!
The round table topper is exactly the gift I need to make for a dear 83 year old lady who looks after my Chihuahua when I go on holidays. Just lovely.
I love them all but if required to pick one then the round table topper at the end of the post! Great job and cannot wait for this book and tool!
Like many others, my favourite is also Spin Cycle. For me, it’s true beuty is in its simplicity.
I love them all. I love the pattern Cosmo with Happy Go Lucky. Thank you.
My favorite is Spin Cycle. It looks difficult, but I think with your help it will be easier.
They are all beautiful, my two favorites are “Sunday Spin” and the round table topper. I will look for your book and ruler at my local quilt store. Thanks!!!!
Spin Cycle Is Wonderful! I’d Love To Make It In Winter/Christmas Colors!!!
Spin Cycle especially done in the Aspen line is my favorite. Would also like to try the other patterns. The concept of putting it together by strips intrigues me.
Wow! What great quilt patterns! How to choose? I think my favorite is Spin Cycle but I also love the table topper.
Really hard to pick just one, but if I have to let’s make it Rising Star.It was the table topper that had me hooked.
My daughter spotted the “Summer House” quilt and said she would like it for a graduation present. I loved your fabric designs, quilt patterns and knitting. What a wonderful talent.
Beautiful work, Heather! I think it’s a toss up between Spin Cycle and Winter Solstice….but hard to pick just one. Thanks for doing all the “hard work” for us because I know your patterns are always easy to follow!
Hard to choose between Csmo and Rising Star….actually they’re all great! Love your longarm quilting, too.
I like Spin Cycle and Rising Star both! In fact they are all beautiful and unique and I can’t wait to try to make some of them. I love how you break things down simply for the rest of us.
I would have to say Rising Star is my favorite! I am usually drawn to wall hangings and this one is just stunning!
Love Spin Cycle but also LOVE Winter Solstice and really LOOOOOVE Rising Star!! It is amazing all the different looks and shapes you have created with your patterns and rulers!
Cosmo is my favorite. I’ll take your word for it that it’s not hard to do :-). Thanks for the chance to try it!
What a great book this looks to be. You have 26?? Amazing. I own just one of them, On the Run. Hoping to get this one too.
It is very hard to pick a favourite quilt, but Cosmo is probably mine.
I love them all, but I would say Spin Cycle is my favorite! I cant’t wait to see the new book!
Rising Star is my favourite but I can see making most of the quilts in the book! Love that all the math is done for me!
I love love love the Cosmo quilt. Once again you delivered beautiful designs.
Congratulations on your new book and ruler Heather! My favorite quilt is Rising Star!
The quilts are absolutely lovely. It’s hard to pick a favorite. This book is one I will have to add to my collection of quilt books and patterns. A new tool — how fun! Thanks for doing the math for these great quilt patterns.
Don’t make me choose my favorite…I love them all. But, I guess I would make the table runner first, so we can call that one my favorite.
Love the color pop in Cosmo! Spin Cycle is cute too — can’t I just like them all?! Too hard to choose!! Nice work!
Although I love all of them, I think my favorite is Winter Solstice…the fabrics just really appeal to me.
It is very difficult to pick a favourite as i like them all but I think the cosmo quilt is very cool. Thanks for the opportunity to win. I love reading your stories and seeing the pictures of your precious son Carter. I have a little granson who is almost 10 months old so it has been fun for me to see what fun things to expect in his development.
I love the Rising Star design and the colorway you have chosen from your line is delightful!
Love them all, and would choose Cosmo as my favorite–today, anyway! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us, and thanks for the chance to win!
I like all the quilts, if I have to pick one it would be Spin Cycle.
Hi Heather, I really enjoyed the entire blog, and I can’t wait to get started on Rising Star table topper. It would look wonderful on my old round oak table. I really appreciate how your photos show the quilting. That is where I always get stuck. I hope that I win.
My favorite is Rising Star, but I really like SpinCycle as a table topper. Congratulations on your new book! You are one talented person (not only with your quilt designs, but also including the beautiful sweaters that you create)!.
It’s so hard to choose just one as a favorite, but I think Cosmo is it. I love the depth of each “wheel”. Can’t wait to make it!
Rising Star as a table topper is a real beauty!
Rising Star is my favorite. I love playing with new angles–I think the book will be great!
Just too hard to pick! Love them all. Spin Cycle is especially cool or is it Cosmos….
You must have been an ace at geometry! Thanks for the up close shots of the quilting ideas. I cannot wait to get started. The husband goes fishing in Canada at the end of the month; that means I go on vacation at home 🙂 Sewing time is not far away!
Cosmo, Sunday Spin and Winter Solstice. Sorry, I couldn’t choose one. They all look fun to make. I might could even make them look ok with the ruler! I love your books and will have to show my husband this one for Mother’s Day. Thanks.
I like spin cycle and rising star…. Thank you for having give aways.
By the way, you are so smart to use the scraps from one project in another. I hate waste.
I’m a huge fan of table toppers myself and yours is very yummy!!
Heather, you are definitely one talented quilter! All of the quilts were gorgeous. I would have to say my favorite one was Sunday Spin.
I like Cosmo best, but also like the table topper and Rising Star!! Love your book and projects!!
I love all of the designs! I believe my favorite is the Rising Star. I think the designs looks so new and refreshing
So clever, love your innovative use of the 45 degree ruler, love the quilt on the cover!
Rising Star is my favorite. To tell you the truth, I found it quite difficult to decide.
Wow! I have always loved Kaleidoscope quilts. Yours are absolutely awesome. My favorite is Winter Solstice, closely followed by Cosmo, but they are all beautiful. I also really admire your machine quilting style.
Love them! My favorite is Rising Star, but I really do like all of them. I made my first quilt from your Sizzing Sixties book last year and the construction was so easy – look forward to making one of these too!
I love Spin Cycle – and Winter Solstice is a close second! Beautiful designs as always!
Spin Cycle using your Summer House fabrics is amazing! I want to touch it, the pinwheels look so dimensional!
Spin Cycle – wow, wow, wow!!
Are there suppose to be pictures of the quilts to see?? Am I missing something?? Donna email@example.com
Cosmo is my favorite but it was hard to select just one!
Amazing job!! I love your beautiful work and patterns. I will probably tackle Rising Star first. Great job!! Jane E.
Difficult to pick one, but I think Rising Star is my choice
Heather they are all beautiful; my first choice is Winter Solstice followed by Rising Star. You are so talented and I follow your post all the time. You are such an inspiration and I would love to win!! Thank you for the chance.
Congratulations! I love spin cycle!!
Do I have to pick a favorite? They are all great…guess my fav is Spin Cycle.
I love love Rising Star in the Summerhouse collection. The orange tones are FRESH and delish!!
They’re all gorgeous, but I think I like Winter Solstice the best.
I love Winter Solstice…I have never tried triangles much, but your methods and patterns are really amazing!
I love Spin cycle and the topper the best but I would love any of them if they were mine. So much done with a little one I really envy you your energy and talent. If I don’t win, then this will be the next book and ruler I will buy.
Well the fabric for sure I will buy because when I win I will need the fabric to make it pop.
Thanks for all the great ideas and fabric.
Love, love, love “Spin Cycle” with your Summer House line! Fun, fresh, and exciting!
Spin Cycle is my favourite! Thank you so much for a chance to win your newest book it looks like a great addition to my quilt book library.
Do you really think we can pick just one??? They are all terrific! I like them all, but am really drawn in by Cosmo. You have been busy! Book and a ruler, way to go! I bet it does getter harder and harder to come up with original ideas, but you have done it!
Today Spin Cycle is my favorite but if I have to chose tomorrow it may change. They are all lovely. I can not imagine doing this all in six months. Beautiful work Heather.
Such a nice collection, very unique! Rising Star is my favorite!
Super duper love Rising Star!!
i really like Spin Cycle and the basic grey fabric line.
Rising Star is my favorite. I especially love the table topper. Everything is beautiful. I would love to win your book.
Love Rising Star! I really like the table topper I think because I might be able to make one. I just finished a top for Gi Gi Girl from one your books. I turned out great! I’m not sure how to quilt it yet though. I’ve posted it on my page if you’d like to see it.
The Rising Start table round is my favorite. Your piecing is so impeccable!
I never enter give-aways, but I really love some of these designs, my favorite I think is sunday spin, but I think because of the fabric choice. Thanks for the chance to win!
I love Cosmo, not only the pattern but the fabric as well. I have waited a long time to finally get the time and energy to make a really intricate appearing quilt without set in pieces, and this might just be the one. Love all your designs and your son is darling! Thanks for all your work!
Love all the patterns, especially Cosmo. I just received my FQ bundle of Happy go lucky and Cosmo fits perfectly. Looking forward to the rest of the revealing and congratulation on another new book with great original designs. Would love to win a copy of this book and the ruler, but if I didn’t win, for sure I’ll hunt them down!
What a wonderful way to make a kaleidoscope block! All of the quilts are beautiful! It will be fun to use your new ruler and book. Congratulations!
I love the colours in the winter solstice quilt, but my favourite is the round table topper which I would love to have a go at. I’m quite new to quilting and that one looks within my capabilities
Well done. I love colors and patterns!
What beautiful designs and Spin Cycle is my favorite! I would love to win the book and ruler, thanks!
I love the Rising Star one but they are all beautiful. Congratulations on your new book and ruler. Hugs……
Rising Star is my favourite. Love the whole concept.
Wow wow wow. You have been very busy. Your quilts are just beautiful. The colours you use i just love and the quilting is amazing. My favourite quilt if i had to choose would be “Spin Cycle”. I would love to make this one using the same fabric range you did. Congratulations on your wonderful ruler too. xxx Sue
Love the rising star quilt!
I love the Cosmo (cover) quilt. Boy, I am sure glad you did all that math and not me! The ruler will be a big help too! thanks for a chance to win!
Rising Star is my favorite, I really like it as a table topper. Thanks for hammering away at the math so that we can just use your book and ruler to make it all happen.
Winter Solstice is my favorite. Looking forward to this new challenge with triangles.
I love all of your new designs. I have alway stayed away from a pattern that looked like it had some kind of set in seams, but yours looks fairly easy. If i have to choose a favorite I think I would choose Winter Solstice. Thank You for showing so many options, I might just have to purchase this.
Rising star is definitely my favorite, although I like your idea of covering up any mismatched points in Winter Solstice with circles. I’ll have to keep that in my cap of tricks, hehe. I’ll keep my eyes open for your book – I’m really intrigued to see how to make all of these neat designs via strip-piecing! And I love how you always show the quilts in different color options – it helps keep the designs fresh and shows how versatile they are!
Rising Star is my favorite, but all the designs as really lovely.
I love all of the quilts, but if I had to pick one for a favorite it would be Cosmo! The colors are perfect.
This is hard to choose because they are all unique. But I think I like Cosmo.
I love your thought process. Even though it is hard to choose one favorite, it will have to be Spin Circle. A close second is Rising star. I love the excitement of the designs. Can’t wait to get my hands on the Triangler and patterns.
Rising Star and Spin Cycle are my 2 favorites. All the quilts are great! Can’t wait to see the rest of the quilts. GREAT JOB!!
Hard to choose just one they are all beautiful. My favorites are spin cycle, and rising star.
Great post Heather. I think Spin Cycle is my favoite.
This book look amazing! It’s hard to pick a favorite, I love them all, but I think Cosmo might be on top of that list :-). Great job!
Love them all, but Rising Star really stands out!
Heather your Rising Star tabletop per is fantastic, I love your fabric choices again and your machine quilting is fabulous as always. I know the book will be ver popular.
All of the quilts are beautiful but think Sunday spin is my fav. Great job on the book.
Love Rising Star, such a great look. Good job coming up with a new book of wonderful quilts.
Winter Solstice was my favorite but it was a very difficult pick. They are all fabulous.
I love them all, but I would probably make the table topper first. I am excited to see something new and different! Thanks for doing all the math!
I love the table topper! The new tool will be fun to use and help eliminate some of the angle headache!
Sunday Spin or Summer House, I can’t decide. Looking forward to getting your new book, congratulations on another great one!!
Typo in my last comment, should have said “or Rising Star”, sorry.
I am in LOVE! Those are the sweetest, old-fashioned, flowery designs!!!! The “paisley” quilting in the one kaleidoscope quilt is so well suited! The ruler is brilliant and am lovin’ the whole concept!! If I don’t win, I must buy!!! just sayin’……..uber hugs, Doreen
All the patterns are great, I think Cosmo is my favorite! Really like the idea of using strip sets and getting such intricate patterns from the use of your Triangler.
Heather….Spin Cycle is awesome! I know your book will be a success as the quilts are so unique. I hope I win the ruler and the book so I can go make this quilt. i
I absolutely love that Winter Solstice layout. Such a simple looking block until you really “see” it. Thank you for giving me options that don’t include tearing out hair after reversing a template. I can’t wait to see if the book has shown up in my local quilt store yet.
I think I like Winter Solstice the best, but it was very hard to choose. Thank you for the beautiful quilt patterns and for the chance to win.
Your work is fantastic! Love them all but if I have to narrow it down to one I’d pick the Rising Star as a round table topper. Now I will need to find a round table. Got to go shopping!
Wow! These are all so beautiful! Love the concept of strip piecing them! Thanks for thinking of this!
Wow, what a great concept and tool! They are all great quilts, but I particularly love Spin Cycle! Thanks so much for the chance to win.
Love, love, love the cute topper! Great job Heather! Thank-you!
HELLO! WHAT AN OUTSTANDING POST !
JUST LOVE ALL YOUR PROJECTS!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
splendid post!!!! Rising Star duking it out with Spin Cycle … I’ll have to make both, I’m sure. Once again, you’ve created such loveliness! You always manaage to rise above the rest!
Spin Cycle is my favorite. Love all the colors too – so bright & Cheery! Laura
Wow, such beautiful and unique quilts! It is hard to pick just one, but I think the Cosmo quilt is my favorite. Thanks for the chance to win.
Love them all but Sunday spin is my favorite
Rising Star is gorgeous…love the design and those happy colors! Beautiful work!
I love them all, but Spin Cycle comes out on top. Your blog is great, too. Thanks for a chance to win! Did you notice it was snowing today in Minnesota? May Day! May Day!
It’s hard to decide between Rising Star and Sunday Spin. Like them both. The Triangler ruler is a wonderful idea. Sewgratefulquilts.wordpress.com
I think I like the rising star…the blocks look so big you could finish quickly but have a quilt that looks pretty complicated! Thanks for the chance to win.
I love the Rising Star. The colours are gorgeous.
Spin Cycle is definitely my favorite. Can’t wait to make it 🙂
Sunday Spin is my very favorite and a close second is Spin Cycle. This method looks like a lot of fun with a little room for less than absolute perfection. Great book.
The eye popper for me is Spin cycle, and right behind it is Winter Solstice. They both just make me smile! Another Great job Heather! Thank You
I love Cosmo because orange has been my new favorite color. There isn’t really one I don’t like. It is amazing that you can keep coming up with new ideas.
I love Spin Cycle the best. Beautiful!
Oh my goodness I love them all! I think I’ve settled on Rising Star as my favorite. But as I was reading and looking I thought each one would be my favorite. They are all stunning.
They are all beautiful, but Spin Cycle is especially appealing to me…and the table topper…and………
My favorite design was the round table topper. I have a round table that needs this quilt. It looks so hard though.
Rising Star for this round table owner too! It’s perfect!
Like them all but Sunday Spin is my favorite. It would be a fun one to try next!
I appreciate your thoughts about being innovative and keeping the creative process flowing. As a consumer, I am weary of the same old remakes. I love your thoughtful designs in this book, and the ruler is brilliant. Sunday Spin is my fav followed closely by Rising Star.
These are all so beautiful! Spin Cycle is my favorite, but Rising Star is a close second.
My favorite is Winter Solstice! ❤
All of the designs are beautiful but my favorite would be the rising star table topper. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and for the chance to win.
Like them all, but LOVE Rising Star!!
Fabulous!! Love them all but my favorite is Spin Cycle. Thanx for the chance
Love the patterns…and your fabric!!! I think I could make a quilt from each pattern. It is a toss up for me as to which pattern is my favorite. The ruler is brilliant!
My favorite is Spin Cycle. I agree it is hard to find a book with new ideas and not just remakes of old patterns. The trend is toward the more modern look.
I am stunned and amazed at your designs and work produced, and all with a new baby!!! ! My favorite design in Rising Star, but I really love the colors in the one taken outside in the snow. Everything is just beautiful!
My favorite is Rising Star, but I know if I win the book and my daughter sees it, I will be making Cosmo for her! I was a math teacher and I know all the math that went into this, and it is greatly appreciated! Consider yourself patted on the back for a job well done!
My favorite is Sunday Spin 🙂 I love yours and I can also envision it looking amazing in black, white, gray, with any fun bright color. Thanks for the new patterns and ruler 🙂 I look forward to making some….or all……of these when they are available!
Sunday Spin, because, amazingly, my family actually takes Sunday spins! That is when I sew down my bindings!
Thank you for suffering through all that math for us!! Winter Solstice is my favorite pattern, but that could be just because of the fabric choice you made. 🙂
It is hard to pick just one but I think my favorite is Cosmo. I love trying new techniques so can’t wait to try one of these patterns.
Gosh, it’s hard to pick one favorite quilt, but going back over them I decided on Cosmo, because of the scrappier look of it. They are all fun.
I can’t make up my mind if I love Winter Solstice or Rising Star the best. Can I have two favorites?
My favorite is Sunday Spin! All are fantastic! Thanks for the giveaway.

My favorite is Cosmo! But they are all so beautiful!
All are awesome, design, quilting, fabrics…hard to pick one, at least I chose Spin Cycle, but anyone would be welcome. Thanks !!
Spin Cycle and Rising Star are my favorites. Love your choice of fabrics too.
Anything to make fancy looking triangles easy! I love Spin Cycle, perfect name for it too.
Wow! Just came across your site and am totally in awe. So hard to pick a favorite. After lengthy consideration, I think I am most impressed with Spin Cycle.
I can’t decide which I like better: Cosmos or Winter Solstice. They’re all amazing. Great job, Heather!!
Love the quilts and the thought behind them. They look fun!
Rising star is my favorite– I tend to be pretty traditional, which is probably why I’m drawn to that one!
I love them all. Rising Star table runner and the Spin Cycle are the ones I would sew up first. I can’t wait to get my hands on the book and ruler. Thanks for the giveaway. I hope I win, but I will be in line at closes quilt store that sells them.
Have great day!
I like rising star the best. They are all very pretty and eye catching.
I like Cosmo. I always avoid quilts like this because they look too hard! You make them look possible with that cool tool! Thanks!
I really like Spin Cycle. They are simply gorgeous! I made Spaghetti Junction at a retreat last year and would love to get this book too. Thanks for the giveaway and preview.
I join with so many others in liking “Spin Cycle” the best. It has the fabric from your Summer House collection. I ordered those fabrics and just completed a quilt for my granddaughter who is getting married in two weeks. Your fabrics and designs make me smile.
It is a toss up between Strawberry Fields and Rising Star, your fabric choices are wonderful and make the choice a hard one. I think with you new ruler, I might have to make both after I order the book and ruler!
I loooe all your quilts! So beautiful! And I definitely have to make this tabletopper with the Rising Star!!
My favorite is Cosmo! But I really like Rising Star also — made into a Christmas tree skirt!!!!
Pick me, pick me, pick me PLEASE!
Spin cycle wins rings my bell!
Spin Cycle gets my vote! Please tell me, are there more than 24 hrs in your day? You seem to get so, so much done and knitting also. I’m so envious. I love all the photos of Carter, keep including them his smile just brightens my day. My son is 13, seeing Carter makes me miss his baby days.
Boy, that’s a tough choice. I’d have to say Spin Cycle is my favorite. Thanks for doing all the math and figuring so all I have to do is follow directions. Can’t wait to get this book and ruler. Unless, of course, I win one! Thanks for the giveaway…
Hard to pick, but I think I like Rising Star the best. I don’t know how you continue to get so much done with such a cute little boy around.
they all look like fun but my favorite is Winter Solstice I think. I like Christmassy quilts and these colors look real cheery.
My favorite is Cosmo, followed by Rising Star. I was thinking about what you said about trying to come up with original ideas for each book and all these quilts seem new and fresh!
Nice! This is totally new, and different, and exciting! Sunday Spin is probably the first one I’ll try and make from the book….. but they are all fabulous!!! 🙂
Impossible to pick a favorite. Each is unique! Thank you for being considerate on how people spend their money and coming up with such different ideas (and doing the tedious, challenging math for us). Very inspirational.
Oh, I love all of hem, but spin cycle will be my first……
All right, I know I’m not supposed to be envious but…when I read “My mind seems to wander quite a bit while I am machine quilting, so I use that time to do a lot of thinking”, I was. Will quilting actually ever allow me to be so comfortable that my mind will wander??
I am “in love” with all the quilts. I was especially fond of the cover quilt and the star table topper. Fantastic, Heather. Grandma would be so proud.
Absolutely beautiful and adorable. I need to make a few baby quilts and I want to use one of these patterns … Sign me up … I’m in!
I love the Winter Solstice! So fun!
Rising Star is my favorite!
I love Cosmo. It has such a sweet old feel to it. It reminds me of a quilt my grandma made when I was a young girl.
Heather I love your blog postings! Congrats on the “best new thing” – I can’t wait to get this book. I would especially like to make table toppers from Rising Star.
It’s a toss-up! I love the Kaleidoscope triangles (Windsor Knot) AND the Cosmo quilt. You make it look so easy!
Because you asked for one, I’m going to say Winter Solstice, but honestly, ALL your designs are so fabulous! It would be great fun to have this fresh new book!
Hard to choose, but Cosmo is definitely one of my favorites. What a fun book!!
Cosmo is my favorite! Thank you for the chance to win- your book looks like a lot of fun! 🙂
These quilts are all beautiful! I love the Rising Star table runner! I think it will look great on any table, round, square or rectangle.
My favorite is “Windsor Knot”. I really like the joining squares and the chain effect. I just finished a centerpiece from your Diamond Diva pattern. It was so much fun to make, thanks for figuring out all the math and leaving the fun for us!! Your new book & ruler look like lots of fun.
I may be in the minority, but I’m liking the Winter Solstice — It may also be the Kate Spain fabrics. 🙂
It’s impossible for me to try and pick a favorite. I would think using the Triangler ruler would make any quilter, at any level of experience ponder the possibilities. I can’t wait to take your next class.
Love, Love Love Cosmo. Absolutely beautiful work!
WOW, Heather, every single quilt/topper is just gorgeous! This book (and ruler) looks like a real gem, which will provide endless possibilities. If I absolutely MUST choose just one favorite, it would be Winter Solstice, although if any one of these quilts came to live at my house, I would be thrilled! You’ve really outdone yourself.
Like the Rising Star table topper. Thanks for all your hard work fingering out the math to make thingd easier of the rest of us. Thanks for the giveaway.

I’m always looking for round table toppers and Rising Star is GREAT! Love the star tips idea and look forward to making this one…actually…all of them! Thanks for your great binding tutorial, especially loading your needle and using a heavier thread…
I really like Rising Star but they are all beautiful. I would love to be able to make any of them.
How can I just pick one – if I have to it will be Winter Soltice, but it could have been any. Thank you for being so generous – Judy C in NC wants to get sewing.
I think my favorite quilt design from your book is Cosmo, your the quilt on your cover. To me it has a sort of retro quilt, which is enhanced by the fabrics used. I just started following your blog and look forward to learning more from you.
Sunday spin! But they all are gorgeous!!
Rising Star is wonderful. Love the tabletopper and your fabric.
All your quilts are beautiful!! I was especially looking at the quilting for ideas and what a great job you did! Thanks for the visual inspiration. It will get me fired up for summer quilting!
Love the Rising Star quilt the best! Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

Spin Cycle is my favorite. Such a great idea to make them with strip sets.
Cosmo is my fav! I teach quilting and my favorites to teach are patterns that have clever, easy techniques that make the quilt LOOK complicated. That’s why I always love your designs!
After looking at your pictures and skimming through all the comments above it’s quite obvious that your hard work and new ideas are wonderful! Thanks Heather for thinking outside the box and producing something that simplifies a complex pattern. For now the Spin Cycle is my favorite but that may change because they are all great!
They’re all beautifully done, there are a number of them that I really like, but I think the one I like best is “Spin Cycle”
The book looks great and so nice that the ruler comes with the book, makes it easier to find patters and rulers when they work together and come in a completed set together. Thanks for the giveaway.
I love all the quilts. The fabric and designs are just beautiful! I hope I win!!!
I love Sunday Spin, weel I really love them all. I can nnot wait to get my hands on the ruler and instructions. You have been a great inspiration!
My favorite is the Rising Star but they are all intriguing! And like you said, something new and different!
I am sure I am way too late for any giveaway, but LOVE the rising star!!!!! Do you machine quilt on a domestic machine? Your work is lovely.
I believe I like Cosmo best although it was tough to decide. Guess it is time to learn a new quilt process.
OMG – more patterns and rulers I need to make my life complete. When will it stop? ( I hope never!)
So many wonderful designs. I love the one using Happy Go Lucky. Just darling! Thanks for the chance to win.
Spin Cycle is my favorite but love them all. Thanks for the giveaway!
Your quilts are so beautiful. I would love one of your rulers. The designs make my heart sing!
I love them all. It would be hard to pick just one that I like the best!
Seems I’m a little late to the party, (the book and ruler giveaway), but I am very excited! I will be traveling from Plymouth, MA to Cascade, Idaho in just a few weeks for a Quilter’s Retreat run by Stitch n’ Snip, Rena Hastings, owner. One of the classes offered at retreat is your book Angles with ease. I wasn’t sure I would take the class, thinking here’s another triangle ruler and really how many can you have? (Facetious here, the answer is gazillions!). After finding this blog and the photos, I’ve saying, “YES to the Class”, and cannot wait to make Spin Cycle. Now I’m off to call around the far and few between LQS’s here in MA to find your book and ruler. Wish me luck!
Love the Rising Star…I have been looking for a great Christmasy quilt! Can’t wait to try it!
Sunday Spin is my favorite! I just purchased some fabric that would look beautiful made up into that quilt.
I like the round table topper the best. I just received a round table for our dinning room, I think it would look great on my table. Going to check out and see if you have any kits for this one.
They are all beautiful, great job
They are all darling, but I think I like the Christmas quilt best. The fabric, the windmills and the candy cane border make me feel the season.

Just finding this now, ordered the book and ruler, I love them all!
